COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our winter strong ale has a gorgeous mahogany hue, a hint of hazelnuts, and a finish reminiscent of mocha and toffee. No spices, just a perfect blend of five specialty malts. Cellarable for 2 years.

something bitter in the aroma that i just didnt care for, but the taste made up for it...for me, the taste of cold coffee was overwhelmingly obvious in the finish

This beer was sampled thanks to the kind heart of beerguy101. This one poured a cranberry/cherry color with a slight head with patchy bubbles...the color a slight hint of tan. The aroma effervesced cranberries and orange peel with big smacks of maple syrup. Canada would be pissed if they knew how much maple syrup aroma went into the making of this. There's also a hint of tea leaves in the aroma. The taste smacks of a few spices, something on the order of ginger, and a heavy dose of oranges and lemons. Some hints of sweetening malty qualities come in near the end, but not enough to truly make an impact. Something was left to be desired, but still enjoyable.

This brew pours with a deep amber body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with slight alcohol esters and a hint of caramel. The flavor is sweet and malty with a slight roastiness, a touch of caramel and very slight alcohol notes. Full bodied and smooth.

Pours a very dark clear ruby red with a thick off white head. Aroma was lightly malty with a hint of sourness. Alcohol very prominent in the taste which has notes of chocolate/mocha, roasted malt, dark fruit and nuts. Leaves a slightly burnt aftertaste. The body was disappointing - medium light with very subtle carbonation. Decent.

Sweet malty aroma but I did detect a bit of spice to it. Dark body but when held to the light you will see a mahogany color. Small tan head that left lacong on the glass. Falvor was of sweet caramel with a good balance of alcohol. Left a sweet dry aftertaste taht I didn’t care for but a good beer.

Bottled. Dark amber/ruby red colour, mediumsized beige head. Strong malty nose with some fruitish notes. Flavour is ryeish, maltish and a bit bitterish. Also some coffee is found. Quite pleasant and wellbalanced.

Cinnamon colored with white cremy head. Smells like carmel and hops. Some piney notes and roasted nuts. Borwn sugar as well. Flavor is slightly astringent with some brown sugar, hops, lots of malt, and some light roasted almonds and walnuts.

Not too impressed...poured a light wood honey woodstain with little head. Aroma is heavy with malt, honey, and nut. Flavor is similar but too restrained...could be great...but just not enough omph. Mouthfeel is dry from some bitterness.

Very mild aroma and flavor. Very slight hops and some sweet malt, maybe a little cocolate. Not much else, kind of watery but not bad.
