3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Has a malt and coffee aroma
Appearance= black with a very appealing tan head.
Taste- Malt and coffee but the more I have of the beer the less impressed I am with the flavor. It seems "empty" after the beer first hits your taste buds
Palate- A heavy body brew with medium carbonation and has a slightly oily texture.
Overall- An OK stout, I was expecting much more from Avery.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is dark brown with decent, silky tan head. Laces. More along dark barley grains and roasted coffee on the nose. Medium body. Again, a roasted coffee and grainy taste with an earthy bitterness to finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - big thick head, pitch black color, bog roasty coffee aroma and flavor, not a big coffee person so this beer is only OK for me, but if you like coffee you will like this

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is mostly dark roasted barley and malt. Taste is all bitter roasted malt and barley with a cold coffee bitterness. It has a strong backend that lingers far too long.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black pour with a lasting, medium sized, tan head. Aroma is roasted malt with some citrus hops. Flavor is pretty hoppy for a stout. Orange up front leading to a rich, coffee middle. Bitter finish, roasty, lingers for a while. Creamy body, soft carbonation. Pretty good but maybe a bit too hoppy.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong in the nose with a medium mouthfeel. A little higher alcohol and a little more hoppy for a stout.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours black with a small quickly disappearing head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is ashen malt, a bit of coffee and hints of chocolate. Light to medium bitter in a disappointingly thin body, lively carbonation and a very long lightly bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours big and black with an off white head about an inch thick into a pint. Aroma is roasted leaning towards coffee but a general roasted maltedness that’s unusually freshlike. Taste is nicely sweet with that roasted goodness. Thick body with a little carbonation.
