COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren’t afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you’ve been looking for in a beer.

12 oz. bottle from Pacific Liquor. Strong dark coffee and dark chocolate aromas, with a hint of sweet malt and cream. A black pour with a minimal khaki head that leaves lacing. Has a dry feel in the mouth but packs plenty of flavor, including a slight sour tang. Well balanced sweet and bitter with chocolatey goodness and coffee bite. Full body, creamy and oily texture, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish. This is very flavorful and interesting for a beer at 6.3% abv.

undated 12 oz bottle served in a pint glass. (from April 2011 notes). pours a brownish-black. Essentially opaque but seems clear. Short-lived 1 finger head. S - a swirl of roasted grain aromas. ABV of 6.3% or higher seems evident. T - rich taste; clearly made with a generous amount of roasted barley. Hops not obvious but detectable, especially in the finish. And this stout is a little bitter for style. Finish also has coffee notes. Strong roasted grain flavor doesn’t cross the line into burnt flavor. M - full body; smooth but not quite creamy. O - a bold stout, both in its use of more roasted barley and in the ramped up hopping. Well done!.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is strong roasted malt with chocolate, anise and a little bit burnt/ashen. Appearance is dark, dark brown, like molasses with finger-width light brown foamy head with poor retention and mild lacing. Taste is sweet/bitter rich mix of roasted malts with dark fruits, light chocolate and anise. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thick, creamy texture, late lively carbonation, bitter roasted finish. Overall, real nice aroma and taste, decent appearance and slightly light palate.
