Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

Pours black with reddish hue near light. Tan head-small. Lots of hops in the aroma along with coffee and malts. Taste-coffee, malts, hops. Full body. Enjoyable!

Bottle. Pours blackish red with a thick off white head. Roasted malt, dry coffee aroma. Nicely carbonated and full bodies. Taste is coffee and roasted malt, dry mouth feel. Very good for a basic stout very tasty. Finishes with a dry bitterness.

Poured a nice dark color. Really smoked, chocolate, toffee flavors throughout. Large, with a dry end, but some bitter flavor. I think I’d make this without so much bitterness. But, still I picked it up in a mixed six pack, which makes it a good value.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a thin tan head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind a spotty lacing and tan ring. Aroma of dark roasted malt, some coffee character and a touch of dark chocolate. Taste is medium to full bodied, very little carbonation with flavors of smoked dark malt, a touch of coffee, dark chocolate and some flowery hops. Finish is slightly dry, a little on the mild bitter side with a light coffee and dark roasted malt aftertaste. A good, smooth dry stout overall.

Pours black with a soft light tan head. Very roasty up front, nice flavor though a touch watery on the palate. Burnt coffee flavors and a good dry hoppy finish.

Bottle. Opaque brown/black color with a respectable tan head. Some minimal lacing. Rich aroma of coffee and chocolate. Roasted malt too. Flavor starts with roasted, not overly burnt, malt, some coffee, and perhaps hints of chocolate. It’s bitter. More than roasted malt bitter. Must be up there in IBUs. The finish really is bitter. Smooth, dry and bitterrrrrr. Exceptionally good ale.

Bottle. Appearance: Very dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma: Roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, some coffee, some smokeiness. Palate: Medium/full. Flavor. Bittersweet roasted chocolate malt, hops on the back of the tongue is pretty noticable, light coffee, develops a more smokey taste as it warms. Overall: Smooth drinking, finiished well, very good beer.

(Bottle) Pours black with a brown head. Roasted malt aroma. Taste is of burnt malt, caramel, cocoa, smoke, and toffee. Lingering dry aftertaste includes quite a bit of smoke. Light, fine carbonation and average palate. A very solid stout that I wouldn’t mind drinking a lot of!
