Bitter taste with bitter dark chocolate. But it is smooth and tasty aside from that. Some hops are in there too. Not the best dry stout I had, but pretty good. robforbes (1085), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2007 Pours a dark-brown with mahogany hues. Spotted lacing. Nose is caramel and rustic wood. A slight smokiness in flavor: BBQ, chocolate malts, subtle soy sauce. Metal in the finish. Lively carbonated and medium/full bodied. Lacked the fullness in body and flavor one would expect from a proper stout. Overall though, a decent beer. Skeegle (479), Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2007 This stout is much like a porter. Not to heavy on the bitterness, and the flavors are exceptionally burn. It finishes not dry, which gives it a fullness. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA
