Roasty with a touch of smoke in the aroma. Roasty and hoppy in flavor with light smoke. Pretty bitter and hoppy finish. Dry palate. Good stuff. Floback (333), Naples, Florida, USA Dec 5, 2007 Pours a dark-brown with mahogany hues. Spotted lacing. Nose is caramel and rustic wood. A slight smokiness in flavor: BBQ, chocolate malts, subtle soy sauce. Metal in the finish. Lively carbonated and medium/full bodied. Lacked the fullness in body and flavor one would expect from a proper stout. Overall though, a decent beer. Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Dec 4, 2007 This stout is much like a porter. Not to heavy on the bitterness, and the flavors are exceptionally burn. It finishes not dry, which gives it a fullness. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Dec 3, 2007 On tap at Firewaters in Atlantic City. Pours jet black with a small tight, tan head. Scents of chocolate, coffee and malt. A very quick rush of coffee up front and a smooth, malty finish. A very nice stout. Brewbie (217), New York, USA Nov 29, 2007 12oz bottle. Deep black color, nice foamy head. Smooth, lots of chocolate in the finish, with some dryness and hops. Very good BrewDad (2363), Olympia, Washington, USA Nov 26, 2007 12oz Bottle - Gravity Room - Olympia WA.
