Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Mar 14, 2007 This stout is ok. Pours with a two finger head that holds well. A little light for a stout. Can taste the roastyness, but not sure about the "mountain" of hops. MaltOne (61), USA Mar 8, 2007 It’s OK. It was a little watery for a stout. It’s one great feature was a substantial head, that lasted and actually held a it’s shape as a mounf rather then petering out ansinking to thin film. More bitter then I like. It just didn.t jump out at me in any way. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Mar 4, 2007 Pours a dark brew with a thick, generous, tan, cramy head. The aroma is predominately roasted, with coffee in there, some cooked cereal, . The flavor is very roasty, coffee, and some sweetness to it. Very mild hop in the background. The palate is a little thin, or lacking texture. The finish tastes burnt with a tad of a hop bite. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Mar 2, 2007 Pours a deep, dark, mahogany/black with a creamy, khaki head that settles rocky and laces well. A thick, milkshake/milk chocolate aroma complements the roastiness of the malts. A little thin in the mouth but silky nonetheless. Flavor shows more coffee than anything, with bittersweet chocolate chiming in at the end. Much better as it warms, so don’t be too hasty in drinking this one.

ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany Feb 28, 2007 Bottle. Poured a dark thin black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffe. Taste is sweet with a coffe finish. bethmatt0421 (317), Covington, Kentucky, USA Feb 28, 2007 Pours dark, but not so much that it wont let light pass through. Aroma is soft, and suttle with chocolate, coffee, dark malts. Flavor is the same but, again, not heavy. I like this because it doesnt drown you in an excessive amount of alcohol. Optigon (561), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Feb 26, 2007 Pours black with a light, large head. Strong aromas of coffee, cream, and chocolate. Relatively light mouth feel with a creamy, mouth feel. Strong flavors of coffee, chocolate, and hop bitters blast forward. Pretty heavy-handed, not the heaviest thing I’ve ever had, but not bad. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA Feb 25, 2007 Bottled. Beer is very dark brown, nearly opaque, head is large, frothy, light brown. Diminishes mostly into a cling of lace, a ring around the glass and a mist.

The aroma is malty with a moderate note of smokey roasted grain, chocolate, dark coffee; Hoppy with moderate notes of resin/pine; Yeasty with light notes of dough, basement, trace of dirty dish rag; Nice, chewy and warm.

The flavor is moderately bitter, moderately sweet, lightly acidic with a long, lightly bitter, lightly sweet, lightly acidic finish.

The body is full, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is lively.
