Poured deep opaque ruby with a large lasting mottled light brown creamy head. Deep roast malt aroma (nutshell/coffee/bitter chocolate) very drop and hoppy. Taste is VERY bitter, brazil nutshell, coffee grounds - has a long bitter finish. Solid body, dry acidic mouthfeel with a long bitter finish. This a solid stout, very dry and roasty, no gimmicks.
