Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

Pours a deep brown with some red hints when held to the light. Head was tan and foamy. Did a decent job at sustaining. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa and a bit on the lighter side. Flavor of dark chocolate and coffee. Roasted malts and some light hop bitterness. A bit thin in the mouthfeel.

courtesy of fiulijn - opaque black coloured under a nervously foaming head; roasted aroma of black chocolate, pralines and almonds; overcarbonated and with a totally overwhelming, aggressive bitterness; the finish is very dry, bitter and salty with metallic tones and some more almonds - absolutely out of control and barely drinkable

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry - his bottle. #1300 - woo hoo! Deep brown-black with a good sized tan head that leaves some great lace. Aroma is rich, nutty & roasty - very nice! Flavour is solid as well, roasty and dry, lots of nuts and bitter coffee. Long, dry finish. Lovely!

Bottle (12oz). Shared with GregClow, my bottle. Poured deep opaque ruby with a large lasting mottled light brown creamy head. Deep roast malt aroma (nutshell/coffee/bitter chocolate) very drop and hoppy. Taste is VERY bitter, brazil nutshell, coffee grounds - has a long bitter finish. Solid body, dry acidic mouthfeel with a long bitter finish. This a solid stout, very dry and roasty, no gimmicks.

Bottle. Strong, hoppy aroma with a lot of barley bitterness. Black colour, very small head. Very roasted flavour, hoppy with roast barley bitterness. The aftertaste starts off a little watery, but turns quite flavourful.

A nice dark almost black pour with a nice light tan head. An aroma of toasted malt and coffee. A rich flavor of coffee and burnt malt and an excellent bitter finish that stays with you. A beer I really enjoyed.

Pours black with brown edges and a faint tan head. Big roasted malt aroma with very light grassy hop notes. Flavor is also big roasted malt. The black patent malt is noticable. Has a dry roasty finish. Medium body. Good beer.

This pours about as dark a brown as you can have without being black. Small light brown head. Nice roasted smell, barley and coffee, with an overlaying of floral hops. Dark, roasted malts with coffee, nuts, and a suggestion of chocolate are well blended with an herbal hops taste. Solidly dry, bitter finish. Nice.
