1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2009 Pours a deep black with a thick frothy tan head. Deep malt and alcohol aroma. Flavor is cocoa and coffee however there is not much depth and the alcohol can be overpowering for the lower ABV.
12 oz. bottle. Gabler (86), , New York, USA Mar 29, 2009 Bottle. Poured black with red hues, thin brown head. Roasted espresso malty aroma. Amazing body, creamy feel. Nice bitterness to this one, longish finish with a nip of alcohol. Excellent stout! HolidayBeerGuy (50), Detroit, Michigan, USA Mar 28, 2009 12oz. bottle, pours dark brown, small light brown head, nice chocolate aroma, light carbonation, nicely bitter good hop character with a smooth malt balance. Finish is clean, smooth, slight bitterness left on the palate. A good stout especially for the money. garthicus (1215), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 27, 2009 Thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Black/ruby with a one finger thick creamy brown head. Aroma: Creamy, chocolate, coffee with roast malt/barley and nuts. Flavour: Cream, sweet hops, coffee, bitter candy finish. Not bad at all! Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Mar 24, 2009 Poured black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Some coffee and chocolate. Light bodied. Kind of watery. BroSpud (583), , Massachusetts, USA Mar 16, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours dark. Nice lacing. Flavor is chocolate and nuts. Very drinkable. Not a great stout but a pretty good one. halfonit (419), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Mar 16, 2009 Has a pure black color to it which at first leaves me thinking that this is going to be good. Smells of roasted malts with hints of chocolate and coffee. Has a very carbonated feeling to this one which is not supposed to happen with such a dark stout. This has all that makings and ability to be a truly great brew, but is just lacking a couple of things.
