Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

Pours a deep, dark brown with a nice tan head and great lacing. Nose of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, toffee and caramel. Flavor is much the same with some nuts and toasted bread flavors. Dry finish with a good bitterness at the end.

Pours very dark brown with a 2 finger tan head that has great retention. Aroma is roast, caramel, a suprising amount of toffee, toasted maple, some coffee, milk chocolate, grainy malt, and a hint of char. Flavor is roast, caramel, chocolate, toffee, lots of toasted nut notes, capuccino, toasted wheat bread and some spice. Finish is roast and a little char with some nuttiness. Palate is medium thin somewhat sticky and dry with a slightly chalky finish. Overall a very nice stout, drinkable and flavorful with a low enough abv to be sessionable.

12 oz bottle from freddy. Pours an opaque black color with a beige head that has good lacing. The aroma is moderate with earthy chocolate and coffee. The flavor is biter hops forward with raosted malts, burnt toast, coffee and anise. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. The finish is medium in duration with lingering biter dark chocolate. Overall: The bitternes was a bit distracting at times; otherwise, this is a fine, tasty stout.

12 oz bottle @ Hamilton’s. Poured black with borwn edges, lots of creamy tan foam, nice lacing, even in the snifter. Roasted, nearly burnt malt nose, Quik-like cocoa powder, coffee and cream. Creamy mouthfeel, but a bit loose at times. Once this one warmed up a bit, the flavor really popped. Milk chocolate with a touch of Baker’s, much smoother than expected coffee flavor, with a generous helping of cream. I thought this was a milk stout before coming ont his site. Slightly bitter hop finish with a charcoal/smoke/roast character. Very nice.

Bottle from Bev4less: Poured with a fat cream colored pillow foam and black since afterall it is a stout. Upfront and roasted with dark black malt and smelling almost identical to a coffee. The flavor is delicate yet rich in roast malt and coffee bean but finishing dry and perfect. I think this is very close to Guinness and might actually be better if you wanted a solid session stout.

Dry stout eh? It was pretty hoppy but it wasn’t specifically dry... Oh well. Pours a dark brownish black with a light tan head and good lace. The aroma was fairly faint some oats and some mild hops, but really not much to speak of. The flavor was certinally hoppier than most stouts but this is very nice, there are also classic coffee and mild bitter chocolate notes. This was really pretty good.

Bottle. Pours black with a very thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with a bit of yeasty bread mixed in. Roasted barley, bitter chocolate and unsweetened caramel taste, seems to fall flat in the finish, really dry. Thin but sticky mouthfell, leaves a very bitter and distinct aftertaste. Average.
