COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren’t afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you’ve been looking for in a beer.

Pours opaque black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavor is similar, with roasted coffee bitterness that comes through pretty strong. Mouthfeel is medium.

Bottle. Pours black with nice tan head. Nose big roasty coffee and chocolate. Taste is nice chocolate and maybe a little licorice. Lots of flavor and mouthfeel. Great.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a malt and coffee aroma Appearance= black with a very appealing tan head. Taste- Malt and coffee but the more I have of the beer the less impressed I am with the flavor. It seems "empty" after the beer first hits your taste buds Palate- A heavy body brew with medium carbonation and has a slightly oily texture. Overall- An OK stout, I was expecting much more from Avery.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is dark brown with decent, silky tan head. Laces. More along dark barley grains and roasted coffee on the nose. Medium body. Again, a roasted coffee and grainy taste with an earthy bitterness to finish.

Bottle - big thick head, pitch black color, bog roasty coffee aroma and flavor, not a big coffee person so this beer is only OK for me, but if you like coffee you will like this

Tap at Imazato. Nose of coffee, cocoa, light cream. Medium body. Good balance, woody roast. Light and clean with rather bitter finish.

Pours a dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is mostly dark roasted barley and malt. Taste is all bitter roasted malt and barley with a cold coffee bitterness. It has a strong backend that lingers far too long.

Hangover (1085) - Atlanta, Alabama, USA - JAN 31, 2015
Black pour with a lasting, medium sized, tan head. Aroma is roasted malt with some citrus hops. Flavor is pretty hoppy for a stout. Orange up front leading to a rich, coffee middle. Bitter finish, roasty, lingers for a while. Creamy body, soft carbonation. Pretty good but maybe a bit too hoppy.

Strong in the nose with a medium mouthfeel. A little higher alcohol and a little more hoppy for a stout.
