Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

Bottle. Fluffy high and lasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Lovely strong coffee aroma with a fair amount of hops. High hops bitterness in the flavor which is otherwise of coffee with a good deal of carbonation and a long bitteraftertaste. I would have guessed on a much higher alcohol percentage.

Bottle: Poured thick smoldering black with a light tan color creamy head. Aroma has a smokey roasted smell to it. Taste is deep rich coffee and roasted malts, finishes dry with nice tingles.

Pours dark brown to nearly black with a big bubbled though not quite loose sizeable tan head, dissipating quickly. The nose is dead on dry stout. Roasty, a touch lactic, a bit of a floral sort of English hop. No discernible sweetness. The palate is about where it should be for the style. Not too thick, not too thin, not a lot of carbonation, but as it doesn’t strike a chord with me, it’s hard to put it over the average. The flavors really shine on this brew though. A very light sweetness is cut by a roastiness and and an acidity. There’s some coffee, but really no charcoal. There’s some floral hops up under that roast, to really round this out and make the flavors bright. This beer demonstrates rather well how the style can be so unbalanced, and still entirely drinkable. The finish is roast with some lactic tasting slightly acidic points. The finish is straight up coffee (not the gourmet stuff, but a strong cup of joe). This really one ups Guinness.

This beer looks nice- very dark with a thin-medium brown head. It smells rich and chocolatey, which I like. Lots of roast in the flavor. Dry finish with some hops. Its simple but very enjoyable.
