Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

Poured pitch black with a tan head. Coffee and malt aroma. Taste was coffee, malt and oatmeal with a hint of chocolate and some bitterness.

Coffee aroma and taste. Thin body, per the style. All in all, not much flavor for any stout

Bottle (35 cl), thanks gnoff. Roasted chocolate and coffee aroma with citric and piney hops. Medium bodied, a bit moussy carbonation. Well balanced, not overly dry, with a long bitter finish.

Bottled. Thanks to gnoff. Near black colour with rich pale beige head. Vanilla ice-cream in aroma with mint and sweet tar and chocolate. Mild smooth mouthfeel, with medium body. There’s milk chocolate, sweet tar and low-medium hoppiness. Tasty beer but really a mish-mash of flavours and not really outspoken, and really low on the toast malts.

Bottle. Chalky, roasty aroma. Drinks with a very nice complexity of gristy, roasted malt ... dark chocolate, hint of coffee ground. This is a nice flavorful beer for a snowy night in Ohio! (#3777, 12/27/2009)

Bottle. 12 oz. Pours hazy brown with a frothy, thin beige head. Aroma of chocolate, corriander, spice, wheat, yeast, and malts. Fuller bodied with a loose, yet bold mouthfeel. Nice heavy finish. Very good stout.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. The color is a dark black with about two fingers with light brown foamy head. Some slight lacing. The smell is very malty with a bit of espresso flavor mixed in with a nutty and roasty flavor. The taste is really roasty and is a little like peanut brittle. Is the flavor is a bit smokey with some nice dark chocolate as well. The feel of this beer has a nice medium feel and is pretty easy drinking for a stout. there is some nice aftertaste and is still a pleasant beer.
