From the tap at Ratman’s house. He and I killed the keg. Hazy yellow pour with a seriously fluffy head. Aroma is heavy of the yeast and malts. Sort of a crazy saison goodness with citrus overtones. Finishes with a cookie dough sweetness and bready flavors. Unique brew. Thanks greatly Don!

Handbottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a clear, peachy-copper hue with a very minimal, just off-white head that doesn’t stick around for long. Aromas are spicy, phenols, peppery yeast, apple, poached pear, ginger, honey, dried dates, figs, brown sugar and molasses. Flavors of ginger, dried fruits, spicy, dates, pepper, saison yeast (I have used 3 of the 4 yeasts before), pear. Really nice, interesting and strong flavors. Candied sugar. Very dry, alcohol is decently well hidden but still a touch warming. Light carbonation. Super dry and full of saison yeast character. Interesting!

Draft at the tasting room: Deep amber-orange with golden highlights and a slight haze. Lively carbonation creates a very fluffy texture. Cakey-sweet up front with big yeast overtones. Bread dough and banana cream. Spicy, peppery background. Nice herbal zing. Slight sourness. Lingering bitterness on the tongue, somewhat drying. Hints of bananas and other curious fruits. Warm nips of alcohol, too ... and yeasty residues. Neat beer.
