3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (26476) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 21, 2007
Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with an OK bubbly orange-brown head. The aroma is very hoppy with notes of grapefruit, grass, and pine needles, on a sweet background. The flavor is sweet malty and to start off with notes of caramel and roasted bread, but this is fastly overpowered by the hops with strong notes of grapefruit and pine needles, which carries thru to a very dry and quite bitter end, with a note of berries lingering together with the pine needles - reminds me of a pine forest in the autumn.
