COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Some beer lovers enjoy a rich, malty brew, while others go more for hoppy beers. Our brewmaster likes both - as evidenced by this rich and caramelly amber ale with the distinct flavor and bouquet of Cascade hops. Reaching the perfect balance of crystal malt sweetness and hop bitterness took plenty of time and effort, making Redpoint the perfect beer for toasting your most recent success.

Bottle at home. Red, brown colour. Malty and hoppy smell. At first i got a very hoppy smell and taste, both flowery and bitter taste, but later the fruit, caramel malts showed them self. A lovely pleasant Red Ale. But still, it has a bitter finish.

Bottled. A bit unclear, amber beer with an off-white head. Fruity and piney aroma with a rich maltyness with some beefstock notes and hops. Hops, malt, sweetness, pinecones and some citrus in the flavor. Full-bodied and sugary mouthfeel. Long piney finish. A bit on the hoppy side, could use a bit more balance. (060921)

Bottled. Reddish copper brown, small off-white head. Bready, malty aroma. Carbonated sweetish malty and backed with "typical" "Avery hops" (Cascade it is). Very refreshing and very American.

Reddish-amber colour with a slight haze. Crystal malt, brown sugar, orange and wood on the nose. Sweet, with a slight turbinado and tea accent. Bitterness in the low 20s, with a slight woodines and very light apricot fruitiness. Yeah, it’s an American red all right.

Clear copper body with medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, caramel, some cookie, floral. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some caramel, light toffee. Medium body, light resin, light acidity. Might as well consider this an APA given its hop character. Enjoyable everyday sort of beer.
