Decent sour. Nice red wine characteristics (presumably from barrels) and oak. Fairly one dimensional though. Moderate sourness. Fred’s Mom is better.

Pour on tap at Avery Sourfest 2012, dark red pour with thin off white head, aroma brought sweet cherries, caramel, with some sour lemon, hints of funk, dark berries, slight oak in there as well. Taste is simple, with a bit less berry, some sweet caramel and biscuit/bread with yeast, some oak, spice, hints of lemon, finishing fairly oaky and funky, slightly tart.

@ Avery Sourfest 2012. Slightly hazy rustic ruby, thin bubbly head. Smells like funky maple and dry oak with this dry, earthy rustic toffee tone. Flavor is neat and complex with a nice strong sour tone that refrains from being puckering. Nice and earthy with some nice rustic sweet tones of toffee and fig, but with the sourness of some citrus and funky sour yeast.
