COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

The aroma is a little bit clove, Belgium yeast but not too strong. Pours a clear orange/light copper with a nice white head mostly diminishing, good lacing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation soft and the finish bitter. A very good beer, very well balanced.

This pours a semi-cloudy golden yellow color with a slight off-white head containing floaties. The aroma is inviting with a mixture of banana and yeast. The taste is smooth with citrus and bready tones. The characteristics are very true to the Belgian style. This is interesting, well made, and easy to drink.

Cotton off white 1/2" head, good lacing. Hazy medium to light amber. Aroma mild spice and fruit. Well balanced moderate creamy and caramel sweetness and bitter with spicy notes. Creamy mouthfeel with some bite on tongue, very warm finish. This wonderful and complex beer elevated my spirit on the first gulp! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Stuedmaster (164) - Vista, California, USA - MAR 17, 2014
Pours rich gold with a slight white head that leaves spiderweb lacing. Aroma is fruity esters, bread, some nuttiness, alcohol, and barnyard character. Well balanced flavor, very fruity and sweet with a nice touch of bitterness. This beer packs a punch at 9% abv yet is very smooth and quaffable. Well done and accurate to the style. Medium body, slick and soft texture, average carbonation, and sweet, long finish.

Clear golden color with a fizzy, filmy head, moderate carbonation and no lacing. Aroma of pale malts, Belgian yeasts, cloves, floral hops and mild orange peels. Flavor is very Belgian Yeast forward with cloves, spices, pale malts and some mild citrus hops. Very resiny aftertaste. Moderate body and mild carbonation. Very good!

Sampler at Avery’s. Appearance: large white head, excellent lacing, yellow. Aroma: bread, Brett, floral, light vinegar. Palate: light body, sparkling texture, lively carbonation. Taste: heavy sweetness and light tartness. Overall, not the most unique beer, but very sturdy for the style and worth having every so often.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle. I have had this beer multiple times, I am surprised that this is the first I have rated it. Caramel, estery/fruity, oxidized cardboard notes, slight mango. There is a sweet maltiness with a dry finish.

Avery very rarely disappoints, it hasn't happened to me. This is a fruity, well balanced golden ale with a pleasant palate. Very much worth trying.
