COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Tap pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma is Belgian with soft fruit, pear and apricot. The taste is light for the alc but it has a lot going on. There is a Belgian yeasty fruity taste that had a solid grain under it. It finishes clean if a little dry. There is a hay like almost farm house quality but this is very crisp and clean and refined. This is a very easy to drink brew.

Bomber. Pours a light apricot golden color with lots of active carbonation and whipped eggshell white head. The aroma is a blend of Belgian yeast, peach and plum rounded out by allspice and malt sweetness. The taste has strong Belgian candy sugar and yeast flavors at the start along with some honey, pear, apple cider and clove the rest of the way. There’s some grainy sweetness at the end with more spice and ripe fruit in the finish. It’s a little on the sweet side but overall it’s fairly smooth and flavorful.

Gold with a white head. Spice, hops, bitter, yeast, and light fruit on the nose. Nice on the palate, flavors are mostly bitter hops, backed by spice, yeast, and dried fruits.

The bright notes of this beer are wonderful and are backed by a solid body.

Bottle/22oz - Pours a golden amber in color with a medium white head that quickly settles to a thin covering over the beer. Aroma is fruity... stone fruits and some raisin/prunes mixed in. Flavor is slightly sweet with *lots* of grassy/hay flavors that mask a lots of whatever else the beer might offer. Some fruitiness comes through, some of it overripe. Lingering "hay" flavors along with some alcohol. I must admit that I am somewhat disappointed by this beer... from such a good brewer....

Pours a golden yellow with a pretty thick white head. Very yeasty and some notes of coriander. Very fruity and sweet, a very light body. The alcohol is a little strong but, it’s a pretty nice and fluffy for a Belgian strong ale. Not my favorite, but Avery always make something good for drinkin’. Cheers.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a big white head that quickly disappears leaving good lace. Very yeasty aroma, with notes of mint and coriander. Flavor is hard to get past the harsh alcohol that seems much higher than 9% and gets worse as it warms. Sweet, fruity, with a metallic after taste.

Bottle. Pours golden with a small, white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with yeast and caramel notes. Sweet flavor of overripe fruit, yeast, caramel and some spices. Some alcohol in the flavor also and a slight metallic hint. A hint of hops in the finish.
