COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle. Hazy Golden orange with no head. Nasty yeasty, stewed veggies, sweetness. Flavor is bitter with notes of seaweed and overripe fruits. This is a mess of a beer.

emacgee (2844) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - AUG 6, 2011
Pours a clean bright golden yellow with one finger of white head. Nose is slightly spicy and peppery with some raw yeast and fruit, tad grainy and earthy. Meh flavor, yeasty and Belgian. Kind of peppery and zesty, some body on the way down. DMS in here for sure, vegetal and cream corn

Bottled from Systembolaget slightly hazy golden with à white head. Tropical fruits in the aroma; peaches, apricots along with some spicies. Sweet and malty with warm ing alcohol. Same tropical fruits as in the aroma.

FunkyBrewster (1316) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2011
Bomber. Pours a light golden with a big creamy off white head. Aroma is spicy and fruity, a light peach and apricot, but the spiciness is nicely balanced, mostly the nutmeg there. Nice belgian yeasty character, zesty and fresh. Flavor starts sweet, a bold fruit character, apricot mostly coming out, some citrus and a surprisingly sweet breadiness towards the middle, kind of odd. I think 17thfloor might be right about the lack of freshness. Some spice rides through the slightly dry finish. Medium to medium full body and a soft but crisp carbonation. Not bad, but freshness could be a factor

Bottle thanks to funkybrewster. thought i’d rated this before but i guess not... Pours as it should, very rich golden with a fine frothy white head. Aroma is very pleasant, honey and fresh dough, light noble hops, touch biscuit/crack like though. Flavor is not so appealing, sweet, boozy, doughy, stale crackers, estery. Bigger bodied, with fluffy mouthfeel, bit chewy, sticky, chalky. This one might be best totally fresh... and maybe a bit more hopped up! I don’t know...

pilsnerrogge (2107) - Finspång, SWEDEN - AUG 2, 2011
Bottled:
Color is deep golden, head is thick and frothy. Aroma is spicey orange marmalade. Sweet, spicy, malty flavour with notes of herbs and licorice. Alcohol bitter finish.
