Light yellow orange and clear appearance with a orange cream colored head. Citrusy and yeasty light Belgian aroma. Sweet and light Belgian ale flavor with some orange citrus. Some and somewhat fruity finish. Very smooth.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 onceblind (1358) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 11, 2011
On tap @ the brewery. Clear golden yellow, with minimal head. Flowery, almost incense aromas--smells like an old cathedral. Taste is a Belgian bomb of flavors. There’s the incense from the nose, a ton of hoppy bitterness, with some overripe peach and other light fruit esters. A touch of seed grain and grapes as well. Floral hop bitterness is a bit too abrasive, but the flavor in of itself is huge and pleasant. Just a bit over the top on bitterness and ABV.

Bottle pours golden with thin white head. Aromas of peaches, spices, hay. Fairly sweet with somewhat unpleasant bitter aftertaste. The elements just don’t come together for me. Maybe it gets better with age.

Cloudy golden color - aromas of apricot, peaches, spice, and Belgian yeast. Sugary flavor with some fruitiness - overall not bad.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 26, 2011
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served with a hazed, orange/amber hue, modest, white head foam that quickly reduced to a ring and film, and clingy, etched-like waves and spots of lacing. The aroma was light at first, with not much head or rim space to work with, but a little straw rousing helped. Light hints of yeast & grain, mid-fruit, and light spice were then evident. The flavor added malty sweetness to these, with moderate hop bitterness and warming alcohol playing complimentary roles. A decently flavorful Strong Ale.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 TheJollyOne (219) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 18, 2011
Thin oily white head on a orange gold body. Extremely sweet nose of caramel and warm brown sugar. Taste is a slight bittersweet apricot, leaning heavy on an almost sickly malt, but nice if youve neen away from the style for a while. Served in a 750mil bottle though its probably too much to do alone... but I’m not about to pour the rest out! Palate has lighter oily elements, with some bitter at the edges of the tongue, long finish I’d say.
