COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle, thank to SlovakSniper. Clear gold pour with frothy white head. Aroma is very hoppy, almost like an IPA but with a distinct belgian yeast aroma. Taste is refreshingly bitter, light yeast fruitiness and spiciness. Alcohol is very well hidden, I understand better now how I ended up so drunk that night, I was drinking this down like a pale ale. Unpretentious and tasty.

Shared bottle at RBNAG-11. Hazed honey colored body, under a ring of white bubbles. Fresh yeasty and fruity aroma with some fine spice notes. Fairly light-bodied. Gently sweet, caramelly malt flavor. Some fine fruit tones, and a fair amount of spices underneth. Soft sparkling carbonation. Spiced, fruity endnotes. Drinks good, feels very light for such a big beer.

Beer pours a hazy golden color with a very little head. Smells strongly of apricots. This beer is very sweet and fruity. This beer has a very juicy flavor, of peaches and apricots with a slight cinnamon finish. All of the flavors that Avery tries to convey in this beer definitely shine through. This isn’t my favorite Belgian Strong but, it is done very nicely and I do enjoy it.

65 cl bottle @ home, bottled 11.03.2011
Aroma is sweet with apricot, some peach and american hops. Flavour is too sweet with apricot, peaches and some spices. Becomes even more sweet with sugar towards the end of the glass. Too sweet and a bit sticky but good anyway.

650ml bottle from Systembolaget

Bottled on 11.03.2011 - Pours orange with a bubbly head. Aroma has notes of fruits, spices, malts and sweet caramel. Taste is sweet and malty with notes of apricose, peach and other exotic fruits. Finish is sticky and sweet. Alcohol burns through slightly. Okay, a bit too sweet and slightly unbalanced.
