COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

The beer pours hazy orange amber with a thin white head that isn’t very lasting. The nose is a mix a stone fruit with an underpinning of hops and metal. The flavor is a very powerful mix of fruit coriander, hops and alcohol. The finish is a sweet mix of stone fruit and Belgium yeast.

Pours a golden color with light particles floating about. The head is off white and thin, and to top it off, it fades quickly. Aroma is belgian sugar, banana, nutmeg, clove, and alcohol. Taste is banana, nutmeg, clove, light funky yeast, Belgian suger and light peach. Palate is slightly alcoholic but not too abrasive. Overall, it’s a pretty damn good BSA.

Pours a sparkling golden yellow with a snowy white head. Noise is very spicey, with yeast undertones. Head is thin and lacing is minimal. Very spicey attack, malts and yeast back up the attack and finish is smooth and prolonged with a standout bitterness on the tip of the tongue. nice beer overall.

yeast and sweet malt aroma ... sweet start ... fruity in the back of the throat ... light alcohol finish ... light waxy mouthfeel in the aftertaste .... fresh tasting ... fairly easy drinking ... I like it

Nice belgian strong. Pours golden with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, with a bit of alcohol in it also. Flavor is spiced fruit (this could work as a christmastime beer). It is a full bodied beer, that lives up to the commercial description of being champagne-like. I wish I had tried this one and the Russian River Salvation before trying their Collaboration ale. It would be interesting to taste the way it worked in that blend. Might need to try a 3 way tasting of the two Salvations, and then the Collaboration.

Bottle courtesy Boboski. Pours an orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is citrusy orange hops with a little malty sweetness. Not your typical belgian maltiness, but very nice and balanced by a lot of spicy citrus hops. Solid version of a belgian strong.

bottle. puny white head (fully and quickly dissapating) into clear beautiful golden body. aromas of honey, moderate almonds, a touch of metal in finish, also some floral notes. flavor is lightly bitter throughout. moderate to long finish duration. almost flat carbonation. dry texture. overall good belgian strong.

Thanks Roy at Ruby’s for hooking me up with a bottle when the Pisgah Solstice tap was acting up. Had a little side-by-side tasting. Poured kind of flat at first but coaxed a nice head after refilling my glass. Lovely golden color. Quite clear. Lovely fruit (orange, orange peel and peach) aroma, along with strong spice on the nose. None of the doughy/floury/yeasty notes of some true Belgians, but the fruit and spice on this one are quite nice.
