The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Sampler at Avery’s. Appearance: large white head, excellent lacing, yellow. Aroma: bread, Brett, floral, light vinegar. Palate: light body, sparkling texture, lively carbonation. Taste: heavy sweetness and light tartness. Overall, not the most unique beer, but very sturdy for the style and worth having every so often.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle. I have had this beer multiple times, I am surprised that this is the first I have rated it. Caramel, estery/fruity, oxidized cardboard notes, slight mango. There is a sweet maltiness with a dry finish.

Avery very rarely disappoints, it hasn't happened to me. This is a fruity, well balanced golden ale with a pleasant palate. Very much worth trying.

Bottle to tulip. Welcome back to CA Avery!! Aroma of sweet bread, perfume and fruity esters. Pours a hazy sunset orange with white head that leaves slight lacing and dusting across the top. Taste is fruity esters, bread, orange and late spice from the yeast. Semi-dry finish.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear yellow/gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is cereal and bready malts, light toast, Belgian yeast, candy sugar, floral notes, and light fruit. Flavor is bready malts, light booze, Belgian yeast, floral notes, and some light hop bitterness; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a thin, fizzy white head. Tastes malty, nutty, like citrus and bread. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like malt and orange citrus.

Aged bottle from the cellar - pours a deep golden color with a robust white head. Aroma is full of yeast and tropical fruit, hint of booze as well, some spice mixed in. Flavor is very similar - loads of tropical fruit and belgian yeast, dougy, peppery spices. Palate was tart and somewhat puckery with lively carbonation. Interesting beer, but good!

Absolutely superb. Belgian yeast is perfectly plentiful. Love the fruity and spicy notes, and perhaps most of all the thick mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
