COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle. Dark golden with a nice-looking white head leaving lacing. Aroma: spicy, orange zest, american hops, bready malt. Taste: pineapple, peaches, spicy, yeasty, fruity, toffee, some vanilla. Full-bodied, quite smooth. Nice Belgian-inspired ale with a clear American twist.

"Damn that’s good!" Twas the first thought in my mind after tasting this exceptional brew. Number 3 and the last of the ’Holy Trinity of Ales’ for me to savor and I must admit my favorite out of this series (although each comes from a different brew style). Definitely one of the finest Belgian strong ales I have yet to savor! So flavorful and robust! Watch that ABV count ’cause this is definitely a sipper and makes for an excellent nightcap!!

Shared bottle at RBNAG 2011. Why are always the best beers served near the end of the tasting? Golden to amber colour, this is a Belgian-style golden strong ale, with lovely spicy and fruity notes in both aroma and flavour. Well balanced and not too sweet. Very good.

Decent looking amber pour with a very thin head. Somewhat bland, although I taste the apricot and spice. This pour may be a little flat.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2011 On tap @ RnH w Streets, James, Baron. Jewel-like amber pour; translucent. Aroma is tangerine and hops, palate is significantly more hops with some lemon. Dry with very short legs. Crisp and citrusy, but low carbonation. Will have to try again in isolation - too many heavier beers tonight.

Draft at rattle with Brendan and streets. Pours a clear amber. Aroma is spicy, fruity malts. Mouthfeel is thin with fruity malts. Ehhh, too much alcohol in this Guy.

22oz bottle in a giant mug - pours cloudy orange with light white head but noticeable lacing. Nose is caramel malts, yeast and fruit. Aroma is strongly malty at first, but a little hoppy going down Likewise, taste is real sweet at first but finish is bitter. Long finish and moderately dry. Feel is sticky. I feel like I’m drinking a light doppelbock more than anything. Good overall, but not supreme.

Shared bottle at RBNAG-11. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is moderate sweet malts, fruity hops. Fizzy mouthfeel. Taste of peppery malts with some fruity notes, apricot and peach. Long finish.
