COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Brilliant Tutti Fruiti fruit flavors sittin’ way up on a television pole. Looks just sweet and has a little murk i’d guess from the killer candied malts! The yeast is great and all these things make this beer delicious. It’s a wonderful deeply grand brew. Much reverence.

On tap at Avery. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broke white head. The aroma is rich sweet caramel. The flavour is weak bitter with a watery sweet liqourice weak resin palate. Considering the ABV the alcohol was well controlled and didn’t dominate.

2002 salvation Belgian- Style golden ale . 5oz taster poured at Avery's tap room. Pours a golden haze color. Head was minimal but stayed throughout the tasting. Smells like champagne. Slightly sweet. 9% alcohol is present and can be tasted. Carbonation is soft and very easy to drink.

’02 Salvation Belgian- Style Golden Ale Aged. Versus the normal bottled salvation. Orange color with a light head. Malt is a lot stronger than the bottled. Very calm taste. I prefer this to the bottled, it has aged well.

A very nice golden ale on par with the best in Belgium. Spicy, effevescent, golden, and dry. Has some lemon and other fruits in the nose.

10/9/13: 2002 Salvation on tap at Avery during GABF weekend. Pours a hazy orange with very fine off white head. Decent retention and some thin lacing. Aroma is fruity, sweet, floral, sweet, caramel malt. Flavor is sweet, malty, fruity, with a yeasty, toffee finish. Having a hard time identifying all the flavors, reminds me of aged barleywine. Alcohol is very well masked and the flavors rounded from the aging. Soft carbonation, medium body, very smooth. Even better than fresh Salvation. I have changed my score to reflect an average between the two experiences.

10/5/13: Bottle. Pours a hazy bright orange with bright white head. Decent retention, plenty of lacing. Aroma is fruity, apricot, alcohol, yeasty. Flavor is fruity, sweet, apricot, peach, yeasty, with a yeasty, floral sweet finish, mild alcohol. Alcohol is well masked, though certainly present. Soft carbonation, medium body, and crisp finish. A sweet, fruity, strong belgian.

Cloudy appearance with a medium head. Medium to full bodied, with good malt flavor and strong hop flavor. Balance favors the hops.

Snifter at Brews Cafe on 9/1/13. Clear gold to amber pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of banana, clove, herbs and circus peanuts. Malt and marshmallow flavor up front, giving way to banana and slight herbs before a dry finish.
