COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

The aroma of wheat with a tangy citrus smell rises from the glass. The color resembles pumpkin cream and the head is nice sized. The entire mouth is seized by the bitter tangy wheat and grapefruit mixture as it flows over the tongue. The palate is reminded of the taste it just had for good portion of time.

This ones been sitting in my fridge for a long time. There is indeed a lot of apricot in the aroma..very ripe and tangy smelling. Pale, lusterless golden color and a dimunitive head that most Belgian beers would scoff at. Light spice and fruit in the fore. Tastes a little hot in the finish like maybe I should have kept it in the cellar for a year instead of the fridge...still tastes a little clumsy. The base beer is there and i can even taste the apricot I smelled..I kind of like that, but it’s still just a little oafish in the finish.

Corriander, lemon, wheat, slightly vinous. Bready malt, alcoholic, yeast & lemon. Not something I would get again.

Yeasty aroma, cloudy orange, a nice head with lace. Hoppy yet creamy, grapefruit bitterness on palate. Another purposely over-the-top hopped-up Avery. Full mouthfeel, some spicyness and drying finish. Would have been fine with hope restraint. Maybe some cellaring. Thanks Tupalev.

Bottle. Medium frothy head. Aroma is yeasty and spicy and fruit. Flavor is very similar, very well balanced and complex. It is malty but light, with a decently warming alcohol burn in the end.

Bottle. Orange colour with a big off-white head. Sweet fruity, metallic, hoppy aroma and taste. Medium to full body with a sweet metallic finish. To much metal in this one.

Very sticky and sweet aroma, notes of yeast and spices, also some tropical fruits. Golden colored body with a small white head. Sweet flavor, yeasty, notes of bubblegum, light dryness in the end. Has a quite warming sensation from the alcohol.

Pours golden, white head. Aroma of sweet malt and hint of spices. I did not detect the claimed apricot/peach. Flavor is bitter, malty sweetness, and esters. Really, even though I love double IPAs and very hoppy beers, for a Belgian Strong, this is WAY too hoppy (bittering hops) for the style, and being so out of balance ruined what would have otherwise been an amazing Belgian strong. Probably cellering 2 years would cause the hops to fade enough to make this beer very very nice, but the hop is too much fresh.
