COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle. Light amber with a small white head. Sweet aroma with fruit, yeast and some alcohol. The taste was sweet and fruity with yeast, resin and citrus. The mouth feel was quite thick. An ok beer.

Bottle, bomber. Pours hazy golden to orange with a fairly small white head. Little lacing. Aroma is very yeasty with sweet fruits, sweet malt, and quite reminiscent of a saison. The alcohol is clearly present. Flavour is sweet malt with some spices and hops, the alcohol is once again present, but there’s also quite a lot of sugar and a touch of yeast (not as much as in the aroma though). The body is very nice, rich, creamy and full with a decent amount of carbonation that’s quite fitting for the style.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Poured from a tap into a Goblet at The Linkery in San Diego, Calif. About an inch of head. Lots of lacing on top of the beer and some uneven film on the sides of the glass. Color was orange amber. Really liked the look of this beer. Smelled orange, fruits, hints of lemon/citrus and cloves. Smelled a lot like a Saison. Good mix of flavors, but clove heavy. Not that hoppy, still like a Saison to me. Plum comes to mind for the fruit. Moderately carbonated. Not that good of a mouthfeel. Got sick of it pretty quick. The Salvation started out so well for me but then got worse as the beer went down. I’d still probably give it another try.
