Aroma and taste are dominated by yeast and a bit of an alcohol burn. Beer is light amber hue with a slight head. More balanced than some of Avery’s high abv beers.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The appearance has a hazy golden color, a medium white head, and medium-sized sediment, and the aroma blends Belgian yeast, sour fruit, alcohol, and a light malt. The taste is mildly sour and slightly sweet, and the palate combines a average carbonation, light body, sticky texture, and a slightly sweet finish.

Brilliant Tutti Fruiti fruit flavors sittin’ way up on a television pole. Looks just sweet and has a little murk i’d guess from the killer candied malts! The yeast is great and all these things make this beer delicious. It’s a wonderful deeply grand brew. Much reverence.

On tap at Avery. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broke white head. The aroma is rich sweet caramel. The flavour is weak bitter with a watery sweet liqourice weak resin palate. Considering the ABV the alcohol was well controlled and didn’t dominate.

2002 salvation Belgian- Style golden ale . 5oz taster poured at Avery's tap room. Pours a golden haze color. Head was minimal but stayed throughout the tasting. Smells like champagne. Slightly sweet. 9% alcohol is present and can be tasted. Carbonation is soft and very easy to drink.

’02 Salvation Belgian- Style Golden Ale
Aged. Versus the normal bottled salvation. Orange color with a light head. Malt is a lot stronger than the bottled. Very calm taste. I prefer this to the bottled, it has aged well.
