COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Small light tan head, slightly hazy orange golden body. Fruity and yeasty aroma on the sweet side, very Belgian. Sweet fruity and candied flavor with some light spices and a yeasty note. True to its Belgian origin though a tad too sweet, which makes it a bit cloying in the long run.

I purchased this bottle in 2006. I must say the age did not treat this beer well. Gold pour with white head. spicy aroma and flavor with notable notes of cardboard leaving me to believe it is oxidized

Aroma was mainly of alcohol. Cloudy darker orange with an average head. Had some lacing. Spicy fruit flavor and a little heavy on the palate, good beer.

Brewtopia’04. Another mild smelling Avery beer, some peachy fruitiness, a bit nutty. Uninspired flavor, grapeskin, slight spice(savory), not enough alcohol presence IMO. Sort of briney. Kind of flowery/hoppy.

650 ml. Orange-gold with a five finger head that leaves some beautiful frost on the glass. Peach-citrus and honey aroma. Flavor is similar, but more balanced on the front (less sweet) than most Belgians, then seems to have a surge of some bubblegum and fruit in the middle. A nice flourish of bittering hops at the end that blend well with the hidden alcohol and light fruit. Nearly medium body is smooth, finishes dry and pleasantly chest warming. A typically malty, Belgian-yeasty style beer, but it seems to have a tad more hops than most in the style and I like it.

Draft at Boiler Room. Pours an attractive and clear gold witha white head. Nose is very estery with far too much banana and bubblegum. Pils malt and somespicy phenols are present as well. On taste, the bubblegum dominates with a decent sweetness from the malt but an out of place caramel character. Far from the top for Avery. Come on, ma !
