COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

(Bottled 1 Pint 6 Fl. Oz, BB 11/2009). Hazy orange-amber color, small steady off-white head. Apricot, peach and spices in the fruity nose. Very sweet fruity-yeasty flavor - apricot, peach, banana and some spices. First thought was: "hmm .. this tastes very English" and sure, Styrian Goldings hops are used. Hops rise in the finish. Also Belgian style candy sugar sweetness. Aftertaste has some alcohol too and dry hoppy notes. Quite pleasant, just a bit too sugary, propably would be better after one or two years in the cellar.

Sweet sugar & slightly spicy aroma. Taste is sweet and slightly astringent. I’ve liked the other Avery beers I’ve tried, but this one misses the mark.

Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, orange beer with some microfloaties and a small, off-white head. Sweet, syrupy nose, a bit herbal, with peaches in the background. Sugary sweet flavor with a good dash of fruits, some herbal notes and an evident but pleasant alcohol warmth. Full-bodied, sweetish mouthfeel. Lasting finish with sweetness, fruits, some herbs and alcohol. A quite pleasant beer, not impressing, easy drinkable but maybe a bit on the sweet side. (090213)

Big bottle. Hazy light amberish colour. Sweet aroma of fruits, toasted malt and spices. The flavour is sweet with good toasty caramel and maltiness, fruity and spiced, alcoholic and hoppy. Bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2007. Clear golden - white head. Sweetness, honey, flowery, licorice, nice hoppy, bitter/sweet finish. And the typical american hop-tastes..

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2007 Bottle from Wohlenbergs, Sønderborg. Pours hazy orange amber with a thin white film head. Aroma is very powerful - oranges, yeast. A little spritzy mouthfeel. Flavour is slightly tart, oranges, and a heavy warmth from the alcohol. Not the most sophisticated BSA ever.
