COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Decent head from the pour. Low carbonation. Great aroma. Peaches, yeast, spices, its all in there. Color is a slightly hazy golden ornage. Soft flavor, slightly sweet with more spices, light fruit, decent malt balance. Crisp and clean and very easy drinking. Finish is slightly bitter and warming from the alcohol. This is some good stuff. Surprised that it is not rated higher. A very good belgian ale!

22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy orange coppery color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is lemony, almost like hot tea with a lemon inside it. Flavor is like lemon iced tea. A slight cinnamon and nutmeg flavor is also found in this one. Not bad, but not great either.

Bottled:
Color is deep golden, head is thick and frothy. Aroma is spicey orange marmalade. Sweet, spicy, malty flavour with notes of herbs and licorice. Alcohol bitter finish.

Pours a deep golden color with a hint of red. Aroma is a little fruity and malty. First flavor is alcohol. A little grainy. A hint of sweetness and spice in the flavor as well.

MIBRomeo (2105) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 18, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 cloudy golden color w/ a thin white head quickly dissapated. Smells of apricots, peaches, & cinamon w/ a bit of malt and a nice clean sweet smell. Highly carbonated palate w/ a medium body. A sweet fruity flavor w/ a swet malt back. Overal a solid belgian. Re-Rate 1/9/06: Aroma -1 has a generic sweet smell to it w/ candied sugars and some mustiness. Flavor is a bit oversweet -1overall.

Local bottle. Clear golden amber colour with a small white head and some light lacing. Sweet aroma with a hint of Belgian yeast. Flavour starts out rather sweet then hits a spicey note before landing on a finish that has an odd hoppy and alcohol note. Good but a strange finish.

Sampled from bottle: pours a vibrant, translucent golden-orange colour with a small white head. Lacing left behind is scattered, but noticeable. Based on my stuffed up nose, the aroma is of bananna, honey and ripe mangoe. Taste is sweet, bubbly with plenty of tropical fruits. Pineapple and lime. Finishes very nicely.

Bottle shared by <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank> mds, thanks Mike. Golden amber in colour, thin off white coloured head, some patching lace. The aroma was of citrus (mainly orange zest), apples, yeast, light alcohol. The flavour had some noticable caramel malt sweetness, light spice, citrusy, floral, some yeast, alcohol warmth. Soft bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a light sweetness, lingering.
