COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Pours a deep gold color with a medium foamy white head. Lots of spicy hops and ripe fruit in the aroma. Sweet flavor of fruit gives away to some hop bitterness, with a bit of alcohol bite. Pretty good.

Aroma of sour apple, yeast, and spice. Brass colored pour with a fluffy white head and ample carbonation. Flavor exhibits orange peel, white pepper, and honey. The alcohol is present but not distracting. A bit above average.

Bright gold and slighly hazy. Yeasty biscuits and a nice amount of sugar-coated hops in the nose. The spices taste like a mixture that would go great on toast (cinnamon, anice, brown sugars). The hops are bold for the style, but always welcomed in my glass of ale! Fresh, moist biscuit dough and a touch of the spices are left behind after the last gulp.

ilovedarkbeer (1864) - Abilene, Texas, USA - JUL 14, 2007
Pours a yellow/ golden color. Big white puffy head with bubbles in the body. Alcohol content is well hidden by the taste of yeast and fruit. Some what sour flavor but goes down pretty smooth and actually tastes more like a trippel.
