COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2003 Coriander/Wet dish rag nose. Chill haze. The palate is medium body with a hint of smoke. The beer is hollow in the middle. This beer is all over the place and it does not come together in the end.

Had just a smallish glass of this but to me this is a generic belgo tripple with a wheatbock character. Hoegaarden Grand Cru on steroids. More hops than the average tripple but close to no aftertaste.

After smelling this one I thought it was gonna be a knockout, but man was I wrong. Has very pleasant Belgian style aroma with some dried apples and apricots. The flavor is a different story altogether though with tons of unfermented sugars making it a sweet cloying mess. Harsh alcohol is present in both smell and flavor. Avery seems to have a problem with lazy yeasts because this isnt’t the first of their beers to have an overly sweet flavor.

Bottle pours a crystal copper color with a small head and little lace. The aroma is very yeasty, with hints of apricot. The flavor is mostly bread like, some apricot notes, and rather dry with some faint hop bitterness. In addition, I'm not sure if this is hop related, but there is a lingering tobacco flavor that distracts. The palate is decent. Overall, a fairly average effort.

Draft. Looked good on the pour, thick head over straw colored liquid. Pale ale structure with an overly sweet finish. Malty taste with a big blast of bitter hops. Didn’t really seem to be in balance.

Snygg etikett. Jag gillar verkligen det här .

floral yeasty aroma, cloudy and beautiful, alcohol then sweet and syrupy that meld into high pitched hops and a soft bitter palate

Color was golden orange-yellow and very clear. The head is a thin sheet of white bubbles with very little retention. It smells sweet like sugar and the taste is also sweet. The alcohol was noticeable but didn’t really detract from the beer. I really liked the Collaboration beer so I had high hopes for this one but it didn’t quite measure up. 09/08/08 I’m updating this review to add that this is a really mediocre beer. In fact it sucks. Bottle: Aroma is A wonderful floral, citrus, light spice of coriander, and lemon, orange, and nutmeg. Appearance is a clear orange/amber color with a large fluffy white head. Taste is pretty good, with a certain graininess to the brew, citrus is quite prevalent, I like it. Worth a decent rating.

5.24.05 First beer of my birthday. Whole bottle straigh to the head...setting the tone for things to come. Really nice belgian ale. Fruity aromas and flavors, a little sharp though , alcohol noticeable but nothing 6 months in the cellar couldn’t fix. Overall very good
