COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Cloudy orange gold color. Orange and grapefruit flavors. Hoppy right on the edge of too hoppy. Medium bodied. Gets better as it goes.

Pour is a clear golden/straw color with a small off white head. Lots of alcohol on the nose, nice estery belgian yeast smell, spicy, bananas, and a touch of citrus. Taste is quite malty and fairly light for the style and what the nose led me to believe. Slightly peppery and spicy, nice belgian yeast esters, and hints of banana and grape. Might be a bad bottle, but this is nothing like I remember it.

Tap at brewers republic. Aroma is fruity peach/apricot with nutmeg spiciness. Pours cloudy golden color with very light head. Taste is fruity with peach and apricot at first with spicy flavors. Finishes smooth with a slightly hoppy bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very cloudy grapefruit juice color with a creamy head that clings to the glass. The aroma is big and sweet and fruity. Lots of bananas and spice, and some buttery malt. The flavor changed as I got used to it and as it warmed. It started out sweet and rich, but the heat from the 9% ABV came on strong by half way through the glass. It never got old, though. I enjoyed it.

A- Pours a golden amber with red hues. 2 finger bone white head slowly sink into a thin collar. Speckled lacing. S - Lemon citrus hops, bubblegum yeast, spices, wheat. Grassy hops. T - Lemony tartness, spicy Belgian yeast, green pears, grassy wheat all on top of a solid candied pale malt. Moderate hops wraps around, takes hold, and compliments the flavors well. M - Full bodied, creamy, moderate carbonation. The citrus tartness cuts out the sweetness. Good creamy characters. Alcohol is hidden well. A solid drinker. Serving type: on-tap 01-03-2011

750ml bottle from Total WIne in Boca Raton. Snifter. Pours an extreme cloudy, orange brown with thin white head. Aoma of sweet fruits such as apricots, orange, pears. Also picking up bread and cereals. The taste was powered by the sweet fruits, malts, and somewhat balanced by the hops. My problem is it comes across too fruity and sweet. Mouth is smooth with yeast aftertaste. Mediocre at best.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Nose is VERY Belgian from the yeast. Taste is sweet and oddly cloudy with some slightly spice elements to it. Meh.

22oz bottle, shared with b3shine. Totally hazy bright golden orange color. Lots of particles visible in the body. Thin white head, good lace. Medium to bigger body. Light, smooth carbonation, more dry in the finish. Bright fruity flavors, some peach, apricot. Light spice, nutmeg. Spicy sweet taste, light to moderate bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. nice Belgian Strong.

Bomber to snifter (thanks DrSilverworm). Looks good; a hazy orange with white lacing. Smells and tastes yeasty and a little doughy with notes of orange and spices. Good on the palate; it goes down easily for being 9%. Not bad.

Good, not great. Hazy orange with white head. Aroma is floral with peaches and apricot. The taste adds clove and some bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little weak. Overall, I like it.

Hazy orange beer with a thin white head that stays around the rim. Aromas of peaches, apricots and other light fruits. Flavor is the same light fruits and some decent carbonation but it doesn’t pack the punch I remember. Even with saying that, the first time I had this was when I was 21, so my palate has changed immensely since then, but this is still an exceptional brew. They call it a Belgian strong but it seems to more of just an American strong. Nothing wrong with that though, you know good stuff when you drink it.
