Poured cold into a chalice glass from a 650ml bottle. Orange hue, fruity aroma. Very surprised how great this tasted. Hoppy, sweet peachy taste...goes down smoothly. Couldn’t tell the ABV was 9%.

Bomber. Pours cloudy hazy orange/gold nice head atop. Mandarin lemon and alcohol in the nose. Full bodied with progressive spice, coriander, mandarin, and alcohol mouth. Has some abbey characteristics. Leaves a spicy hoppy yeast taste in the long finish.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a thin off-white head that quickly fades into a thin ring. Not much in the way of lacing.
Estery golden fruit aroma with hints of grape, apple and pear with some crisp floral hop notes and alcohol.
Crisp spicy medium body with a lot of estery light fruit notes, floral hops, slightly creamy body, subtle hops and alcohol warmth. Smooth, quaffable and pretty drinkable. Hints of peppery spice, crisp citrus and light fruit notes. I’m picking up estery apple and pear with some orange peel, subtle hop bitterness and alcohol.

bomber. pours a light golden color with a 1/2" white head... spicy and citrus aromas. There is a lot of spice on the palate with a touch of apricot. Very soft over the tongue and finishes strong with a slight bitterness and heavy spice presence. Overall very enjoyable and easily drinkable. Solid.

Avery Salvation (22 oz. bottle) is one the few blonds I’d call gorgeous. (I’m more a fan of the darker beers and women.) Anyways, this beer has a suitable white head and a sweet, fragrant, slightly malty aroma. There are a lot of sweets going on with the taste--sweet malt, sweet wine, sweet ’n’ sour even--and a sort of syrupy thickness and a subdued spiciness. Was there something appley in there too? I also detected some weird metallic or gasoline hints alongside the hoppy bitterness of the finish. Nonetheless, Salvation is definitely one of my favorite Avery brews.

Pours a wonderful golden color with a white forming head. Smell the big hops in this one. Wow. Great feel in the mouth and not too long lasting of a flavor. Good taste of hops and spice. Great brew from Avery.

Huge spicy doughy nose. Brilliant gold color, big head, nice lacing. Sweet honey, with a nice funky bitterness for balance. Thick body, creamy viscous mouth feel, with a long complex finish. Really interesting and tasty Belgian-style ale. Almost like a high-alcohol Leffe Blonde.
