COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

hazy golden body, tight creamy soft white head, lots of fast rising bubbles. Fruity and sweet. Light phenols and esters, grapefruits and a hint of spice. Some sweet maltyiness emerges as well as a hint of citrus, maybe peaches frozen in orange juice like my mom made when I was little. A bit of an alcohol kick, classic bitter yeastiness follows a dry, astringent sensation. The yeast contributes significantly, but the hop bitters and decent malt complexity help balance. the candy sugar is an interesting touch.

Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Citrusy yeasty aroma with a bot of bready smells as well. A bit of a hoppy taste but the yeast is more dominant. There is also a bit of citrus sweetness. Nice mouthfeel.

Pretty good for a golden ale. I like it better than Pranqster. Nice lace with somewhat lingering head.n I don't think the spiciness is overdone. It's noticable, but enjoyable.

(bottle sampled at Stockholm Beer Festival) Golden with a large fluffy white head. Dry aroma of oranges, white bread and pepper. Sweet flavour of oranges and spices with a really dry aftertaste of orange-peels, pepper, alchohol and hops. Great beer!

Copper color with a small head that left good lacing on the glass. Sweet, fruity nose dominated by honey and peaches. Spices and fruits in the taste with a sweet malt finish. Nice carbonation produces a smooth and lively sampling. (beautiful label, too)

Gold/amber color. Floral aroma, with hops and some fruit. Flavor is hoppy, but not as much as the aroma would lead you to believe. There’s a fruity flavor as well. Body is just right.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2003 This fantastic beer was acquired in trade with Andrew196. This Avery Salvation is really great stuff. If I had not gotten into a quarrel with my girlfriend right after I opened the 22oz bottle it would have been even better.
** The appearance was a glowing coppery orange color, with a small fizzy white head, and a nice light lacing. The aroma is awesome, reminds me of canned mandarin oranges, guava, mango, and pineapple, very tropical, a tropical salvation. Not surprisingly, the flavor is citric, sweet, slightly dry finish, a great overall balance. I would really love to acquire another bottle of this beer, first-rate stuff!

UPDATED: APR 14, 2004 Smells more like a malty american strong ale(nice hops and there is that strange Avery smokiness, teriaki?) w/ some definite Belgian characteristics/sense some alcohol at first whiff.Very malty nose(sweet and citrusy)Very nice hazy caramel/honey color.Pours w/ a nice short head w/ plenty of lavish lace.Taste is malty/sweet/hoppy/citrus.Smooth drinking ale.I do like my "belgians" w/ more yeast(it' only natural)though there was some sticky lookin' stuff at the bottom of this 22oz.This one sat for almost two years.Ages well as I just finished my last bottle almost three years old and enjoyed it the most.
