COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Pours a rich golden brown. Small off-white head. Nose has hop pininess, ripened fruit, and spice. Definite malt and fruit notes interspersed with hops in the taste. Maybe peach mixed with light pine. Pleasantly smooth mouthfeel. Indeed this is hoppier than any Belgian style beer I can think of off-hand. This would be NICE if aged for a few years. Nevertheless, quality stuff from Avery!

Tastes like it is straight from Belgium. Has a nice ginger flavor in front that finshes slightly dry.

Bottled from Systembolaget slightly hazy golden with à white head. Tropical fruits in the aroma; peaches, apricots along with some spicies. Sweet and malty with warm ing alcohol. Same tropical fruits as in the aroma.

This brew poured a large sized head of fine to medium sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated light brown colored body and a good lace. The aroma was mild with fruity malty doughy and floral notes. The mouthfeel was initially biting and yet it smoothened in the finsh. It had a fruity bannana apricot doughy malty flavor. A very nice brew that gave us a nice buzz.

not as excessive as other north american belgians. Subtle sweetness, some yeast and spices. Good be made in Belgium. Very nice sipper and VERY drinkable considering the heavy abv. Very enjoyable!

Pours with a one-finger cream head, fades quickly and leaves no lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is peach/spices. Starts with a sweet, spicey flavor but the alcohol is there, hops are there at the finish. Different from Belgian strong pales but not bad. $6.20 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.
