COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

(Bottle) Pours a light amber color with little head, but champaign-like carbonation. Light fruit and yeast in the aroma. Taste included some sugary cotton candy notes, some vanilla, and a good amount of spice as well. Light hops as well. Good palate and fizzy mouthfeel. The alcohol is nicely masked within the beer.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2012 Been a while since I’ve had this one, and I recall it being imbalanced and trending towards cloying malt sweetness. Thankfully, this bottle is quite different and combines a very lively champagne fizz with the dry quality of a fine blond and the fruits of a tripel. Nicely hopped to boot and with a substantial body. A good one.

Pours golden with lots of bubbles. Fruity esters in the aroma accompanied by some spice and some floral hops. The flavor is very similar almost to a tee. Zesty carbonation and mouth-feel. I enjoyed it.

Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Unclear light amber orange color with a small fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hoppy and yeasty, sweetness, peach, apricot. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.

From a bottle sampled at Mondiale 2010. Pale gold with a decent white head. It has a sweetish, fruity-yeasty aroma - a grand cru kinda thing. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma would have you believe. It’s fruity (ripe peach) with some spicy yeast and even some hops. A little booze in the finish. It’s creamy smooth, and the finish is on the dry side.
