COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Clear golden with tiny short lasting head. Sweet aroma with fruit, yeast and caramel notes. Same goes for the for the sweet flavor.

The Salvation pours a dark golden color with an average head. The aroma is not my favorite--straw, very faint fruit, some coriander or other spice and a definite skunk aroma behind it all. The flavor suprised me after the aroma had dissapointed. The tastes were refreshing and light. Most of the flavors were of a light caramel malt with a hint of fruit. The aroma threw it off from time to time--but overall I enjoyed the brew. At this ABV, the alcohol is pretty much non-existent. The finish is dry, but a drink of this beer does refresh. I’ll be glad to have it again in the future."

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Pours a hazy orange with a medium-sized white head with light lacing. Nose is of spice , yeast, and fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma with fruit and spices. Additionally, there is a good bit of sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Average bubbly beige head that mostly diminished. Somewhat clear amber color. Fair display of lacework. Aroma was a lovely mix of malty sweetness and light hoppy feel. Notes of caramel, fruit / peach, light floral notes, maybe hint of underlying liquorish. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and light dry and at the same time light thick texture. Well balanced between the moderated sweet malty base flavor and the floral hoppyness. Light dry and what I thought was lingering fruity sweet finish. Really well brewed I thought.

Poured from large bottle into a trappist glass. Aroma was good and diverse, with a yeasty nose. There were citrus and pine hops, caramel malt, and some sugary and candy notes; maybe some wheat notes too. The beer was a mostly cloudy, orange-amber color with a good shie. The head was bubbly and creamy, but had short retention. Taste was sweet and candy-like, with a subtle sour undertone, and a slightly bitter alcohol finish with a warming effect. It was wet and thin on the palate, a bit soft and oily, and had very mild carbonation. A bit dry at the end and some slight fizzyness. Solid beer overall, not bad for the reasonable price.

Pours yellow/amber with a large, almost cascading head. Fair lacing. Yeasty aroma (bananas) and sweet malts dominate. Taste was bananas, cloves, pears, apricots and a little spice. Alcohol was well covered. Medium to heavy body. Well done overall.

A very good American made Belgian which is rare. Aroma of light fruit, yeast and spices. Pour was a near perfect dark orange with a huge four finger white head. Taste was not too sweet whcih, in my opinion, it usually is. Heavy on the spices and fruit with a nice dry finish and heavy carbonation. Mouthfeel was not too thick and balanced the beer out. Very nice.

22 oz bottle purchased at Spirits RB. Poured a clear golden honey color with an average size fluffy white head. Spicey aroma with notes of yeast, white pepper, bread, and fruit. Extra dry palate, medium bodied and noticable carbonation. Flavor of yeast, dough, spice and citrus zest. It says you can cellar this stuff for three years but mine didn’t even make it home, I drank it at a party so don’t get your panties all in a bunch thinking I was pounding this one while driving.
