J_Hunter (146), British Columbia, Canada Jul 21, 2008 pours a golden yellow with a light head aroma is very light sorta furity spice and taste is a little light but very easy to drink. jrob_21 (827), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 21, 2008 Poured a thick yellow color. Yeast and citrus in the aroma. Full bodied sweetness for the taste with a little bit of fruit, orange, lemon, but the finish was a little disappointing and alcoholic. GarrettB (368), Centennial, Colorado, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bow your head and beg for salvation! In a bitter twist of irony the very beer that promises a "heavenly soft" drink produces a sordid, sinful affair of yelping devils and tortured tongues. The beguiling look of the beer fools many - a light and bracing gold with a white foam head, very divine in stature. And even still, the aroma is delicate and attractive, beaming with the smells of honey, iced tea, a clean metallic finish and the overall bite of fresh cranberries. But ’neat this sheep’s clothing lies a Hel-found most fierce. The flavor is strong to be sure, but extraordinarily bitter. Base, carbonated and all the fun of sucking on a rusty ship’s anchor, with a sweeter penumbra of honey in the aftertaste, but even this sweet succor is burnt to a crisp. Yes, all these flavors are burning, biting and surely the allocated torture for being so easily tricked. Find your heaven’s gate elsewhere, for this is no salvation at all. jjuf1853 (175), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 10, 2008 Bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Lutz, FL) pours a golden honey color with a beige head. Mild aroma of peach, apples, yeast, and spices. Flavor is nice and light, but a decent bite and spiciness on the tongue. Slight warming from the alcohol but overall a well hidden 9%. haukur (655), Reykjavik, Iceland Jul 9, 2008 not as excessive as other north american belgians. Subtle sweetness, some yeast and spices. Good be made in Belgium. Very nice sipper and VERY drinkable considering the heavy abv. Very enjoyable!
