jjuf1853 (199), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 10, 2008 Bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Lutz, FL) pours a golden honey color with a beige head. Mild aroma of peach, apples, yeast, and spices. Flavor is nice and light, but a decent bite and spiciness on the tongue. Slight warming from the alcohol but overall a well hidden 9%.
Pershing (64), Garland, Texas, USA Aug 26, 2008 Cloudy light orange with a thin white head. Lightly spiced with slight bitterness from the hops. A little sweeter than I prefer but not a bad Belgian ale. I might try it again if the price would come down. $6 seems a little excessive. robforbes (708), Bremerton, Washington, USA Aug 23, 2008 pours a clear amber-orange with a small white head, good lacing.
smell is caramel, spice, roasted malt.
taste is thick and creamy, caramel, spice, malt, few hops in the back, end is on the thick side. phishpond417 (1409), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Sampled from bottle: pours a vibrant, translucent golden-orange colour with a small white head. Lacing left behind is scattered, but noticeable. Based on my stuffed up nose, the aroma is of bananna, honey and ripe mangoe. Taste is sweet, bubbly with plenty of tropical fruits. Pineapple and lime. Finishes very nicely. HughConway (259), USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden with thin white head. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Taste is of fruit, slightly sour. Pleasant beer, nothing special. Needs refinement. soyorganic (116), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bomber. This beer reminded my a lot of New Belgium’s trippel and it made me hard not to think that. True to the light Belgian style ale with the alcohol not very noticeable. Banana and yeasty notes complimented with a little bit of hops. I guess I was expecting more or maybe I am not very fond of the style.
