COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A ’saison-esque’ brew with peaches, honey and jasmine, combining intense flavors with summertime quaffability. 65/35 pale two-row to pale wheat, lightly hopped to accentuate the fruit and spices. OG 1.065, FG 1.007.

An interesting brew; aroms has some flowers and honey. The body is a bit strained at first, but mostly it’s peaches. The finish is stickier, probably form the honey. Certainly unique but not necessarily all that good.

From August 2009 notes. A: The beer pours a cloudy golden straw color with a tall white head. S: An incredibly floral aroma. Lots of jasmine to it along with some of the peach and perhaps even a touch of honey. A light malt note to it, very soft but slightly sweet. Quite a bit of yeast with a mild citrus note. T: The flavor has a distinct spice and intense floral quality to it. Jasmine notes are certainly there and there’s a hint of lavender. Sweet fruits such as apples and peaches with a lightly sweet malt flavor. M: Quite light in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: Nice and easy to drink, great for the summer time. Not sure how it might be holding up these days.

Hot booze spice aroma. Medium to thin body. Smooth malty wheat flavors. Good not great saison...

22 oz capped bottle, sampled July 2nd, 2011, ~2 years old: pours crystal clear straw with a thin, starchy white head (quickly diminishing). Fruity, bubble-gummy, and effervescent aroma...nice, but not funky enough for my saison tastes...Palate is moist, fruity and sweet...not quite as dry as I would prefer, but the moist-ness works well with this beer. The carbonation is lively and tingles - perfect for my tongue! Linger peach aftertaste, leaves me wanting for more...

22oz bomber. Gold pour. Grainy malty estery aroma with subtle acidity. Flavor is nice. Grainy but smooth pilsener malts with spicy notes and hints of tropical fruit. Mild acidity. Malty balanced estery finish. Very nice.

Bomber from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Bright golden with a frail white head (Champagne-like). Aroma: A lot of yeast and bread dough, certainly peachy, fruity, some pleasant floral notes, honey-like sweetness, some playful esters, biscuit, hints of herbal green notes, some spiciness and alcohol, a ”churched up” Belgian Ale...pretty good. Palate: Medium body, elegant effervescence, smooth. Flav.: Biscuit, yeast, bread dough, coriander, floral notes, sweet fruity notes, certainly some peach/apricot, almost candy-like (Fuzzy Peaches), playful esters, a touch spicy, a bit of green hops, more biscuit, honey, soft, approachable malts with some decoration; sweet with sufficient bitterness and brightness for balance, a warm, alcoholic finish with pleasant fruity malts and flowers.

As I read over my notes, I’m suspecting power of suggestion maybe have had an impact. Nevertheless, tasty beer.

Cloudy yellow color. Belgian yeast. Light sweet with wheat and coriander. Sweet finish, but alcohol is a little too high, which is to be expected from Avery.
