22oz bottle. Pours a hazed golden-yellow body with a fizzy, finger-width, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a very light lacing. Aroma has lots of honey, flowery spices, some bitter peaches and other fruits, and a light grassy hop and wheat malt. Flavor is grainy wheats, lots of honey and flowery spices, and good amount of even fruitiness. Finishes slightly tangy with a light grassy bitterness. Dry with a lively carbonation, medium body, and full mouth-feel. Overall, an interesting saison. The wheats, flowers, and mild fruits make this pretty tasty. Nothing too exciting, but definitely different. Not bad.

With thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: Lovely yellow body, cloudy too with a nice frothy snow white head. Aroma: Lemon rinds with a good deal of yeast and pepper, indeed it’s a little spicy. Flavour: nice amount of fresh lemon and yeast, alcohol is most definitely present, spicy and with a long dry finish. Nice.

Botle:   Dirty straw, a little hazy, thin to moderate white sudsy head, sparce lacing.   Spicy nose, a little dank and farmhouse, musty, a little on the bright side, somewhat barnish.   Also a bit mealy, meaty, some pixie stix like sweetness on the tongue.   Not much like a Belgian but pretty much what I expected for an American version.   Moderate body and mouthfeel, a little bubbley.   Semi sweet finish, musty, barnish, but not as floral or bright as others.   Not bad, decent quaffer, but a little on the mealy side.

22 oz bottle. Pours a very pale yellow with lots of carbonation and a massive, tight white head. It leaves a tight net of lacing on the glass that is rather attractive. The aroma is on the floral side, with the jasmine quite noticeable. My nose also detects some rose petals, freshly mown hay, lavender, grass, lemon balm, and some spicy wheat-like malt. The flavor is as floral as the nose, and really seems like a potpourri. The lemon balm character is quite strong, with noticeable jasmine. There are also a few notes of various culinary herbs. It has a fruity sweetness to it, but it doesn’t seems like peaches to me; more like papaya. Some haylike and grassy hops kick in toward the finish and give it a slight bitterness that makes it refreshing. I’m actually enjoying this beer quite a bit, but the floral and herbal notes seem to be cumulative, so by the end of a glass it’s getting a little too perfumy.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear stale golden colour with a minimal white head. No visible carbonation. Sweetish and dense aroma of mandarin, almonds paste, corn, sugar, mild menthol and grass. Nearly full-bodied with sticky sweet notes of mandarin, green bananas, corn, dough, crackers and white sugar. Warming, clean and sweet finish of banana, mandarin, peas and sugar with small notes of peppermint and leaves. This definitely lacks the characteristics of a real rural Saison. What a mess...

Pours from bomber a hazy, golden-amber, with a white one-finger head, good lacing. Earthy hay aroma, with caramel, banana, and peppercorn. Medium light body, sharp and tart. Citrus, spice, grass, and banana flavors with some floral notes and some light farmyard notes. A gentle bitter, mostly citrus finish, with a little metallic edge. Balanced and drinkable. Thanks Ed!!

I pulled this one out at the request of Celticbrew! Had a clean crisp aroma. Poured with a lacy white head that retained very well. Very light yellow color and somewhat hazy. A very clean taste. great after taste.

In short: A different fruity, sweet, floral/perfumy with a little funky side. The beer is a bit “off” but I liked it.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed about 6 months after the beer release.
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: Highly aromatic nose with a lot of flowers, lots of peaches, perfume. Basically this beer smells like some kind of girly peach scented soap. Taste is thankfully a little less perfume/soap than the nose. Quite fruity with bananas, peaches and pineapples. Lots of juicy flower petals. Some white pepper. Fluffy yeasty mouthfeel. A tiny bit funky which I thought was the beer best feature. Finish has a very mild bitterness and almost no dryness leaving a sweet fruits and flower petals after taste. Medium tartness. Body is light but feels very lively. Not a great beer by any means but I’d have no problem drinking another bottle mainly because it has its own personality and I can’t really name a beer that tastes similar to this one. A little dryer and this could have been a very interesting beer, instead in a typical American way, this is a Sweet Sixteen.
