3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ibrew2or3 (5823) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Poured up on tap at the brewpub with a hop hazed deep gold body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma is slightly dank and earthy and spicy with a slight malt sweetened sense of citrus around the edges. The taste has a nice load of bitterness with spicy hops to go along with dank like earthy hops. The hop bitterness hits firmly up front and is only slightly filled in with faint sweet malts and hop flavor but this allows it to stay light and refreshing. Nice stuff.

Pours slightly hazy dark orange, with nice stark white head on tap at the brewery. Aroma has nice balanced notes of citrus with tangerine, grapefruit notes, going into some pine and grass, nice biscuit and caramel to balance. Taste is similar with notes of pine and grass, some nice orange, tangerine, even a touch of lemon, with some spice notes, biscuit and toffee, finishing fairly bitter. Nicely done, the addition of the tangerine really balances out the pine well.
