Wow, this is a nice mixture to say the least. A very nice blend of hops and malts makes this a smooth and tasty brew. Worthy to be called an Avery Anniversary ale. Can?t wait to try 11.

Aug 14, 2008 Bottle from Shigadeyo that I shared at RBSG. Ross is a self appointed rating god, I am going to rate this because he does not believe in rating vintage beers. Pours reddish amber with an off white head. Nice sweet and boozy aroma. Medium bodied with average carbonation and very slight syrupy texture. Flavor of caramel and butterscotch, with a tinge of cinnamon. Hops have pretty much faded, leaving this beer very sweet and malty beer. Sort of like a lighter barleywine.

Apr 20, 2008 Bottle: Pours orangish red with a small head. Aroma of cinnamin and hops. Alcohol is easy to detect. Not bad.

Mar 27, 2008 22oz bottle from deftim13. Shared with deftim13, WeeHeavy, bikesandbeers, Sean, and Brad. I think this bottle may be 4 years old. Very mellow. Hops have faded. Lots of melanoidins. Past it’s peak, but still very nice. No oxidation. 3.4, but I add 0.1, because of it’s age.

Mar 27, 2008 Bomber from Deftim13 shared with wetherel and bikesandbeer at PP Carlsbad bottle shop. Orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet but dead. Taste is sweet and dead and clearly over the hill.

Cloudy orange yellow with thin head and some lacing. Smell is sweet and metallic. Warm hoppy flavor with some alcohol in the taste too. Mouthfeel is smooth and pretty decent. A bit "hot" for me but I am glad I got to try it. Thanks Charles!
