COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Beast is a seducer - accomodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. Beyond this, itís futile to attempt to describe Him. He will unveil Himself differently to each of His followers. The mark is in His constitution. Brewed with two-row malted barley, honey malt, and imported Belgian specialty grains (aromatic, pale wheat, roasted wheat, and Special B), hops (Magnum, Galena, Saaz, Hallertau, Tettnang, and Hersbrucker), brewing sugars (raisins, dates, blackstrap molasses, alfalfa honey, turbinado, and dark Belgian candy sugar), water, Belgian yeast and another hellion of a yeast strain.OG: 1.138

wilderthanyou (758) - Guelph, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
Pours deep hazy amber with a short lived fizzy cap. The aroma is sweet, huge on raisins and dark fruits, brewing sugar, undertones of salted black licorice, booze. The flavour is also sweet, strattles the line of too sweet, again, heavy on raisin and dark fruit, brewing sugar, there is alot going on, hard to put into words, undertone of alcohol that really only becomes noticeable into the finish mixed with a very light medical herb sort of bitterness. Soft, syrupy mouth feel. A strange brew, but certainly with a try, would probably buy again.

This poured a darker red color with pretty much no head at all. Aroma was of dark fruit, yeast, spices, and booze. Flavor was a biy syrupy pruney taste, but not too cloying, caramel, belgain spices, and some booze, but hidden fairly well for how big it is.

Pours a rich red amber caramel color with a finger of foam. The nose is musky dates, composty with lots of boozy heat. The palate is a bit messy and kind of a mess. The sweetness helps but the garbage strewn medicinal booziness completely obliterates anything this beer has going for it. Somewhat cough syrup, rubber and plastic on the finish.

This beer is huge. On tap at HOTB. Pours a reddish brown without any head. Smells of dark fruit and caramel. Tastes sweet without much heat. Thick and syrupy. Low carb.

subsonic (82) - Pataskala, Ohio, USA - DEC 27, 2013
"A deep cloudy amber colored ale. A small off white soapy textured head rises above. Settles fairly quickly leaving a thin ringlet. Through the intense alcohol, prunes and raisins come through in the nose. Full bodied, highly carbonated. As in the smell, through the alcohol bite sweet fruit (prunes, raisins, black cherry dominate). Certainly different.

2004 bottle from my cellar. At the time I purchased this, everyone recommended some cellar time; this has had 9 years at 63 degrees in total darkness. Pours clear and dark with lots of ruby notes under a small off-white head. Initially the aroma was nail polish remover. After a bit of time in the glass some cherry comes forward. The flavor is chocolate covered cherry filling with lots of extra alcohol. A good brandy is smoother with less alcohol burn. I canít imagine how hot this was fresh. Accelerant!

12oz bottle from the Art of Beer. Pours a reddish brown with bubbles and a tan head. Aroma has grain alcohol, grapes, plums and other dark fruits, and candied sugar with spices. Taste is of heavy alcohol, grapes, spices, fruits and rum. Light to medium bodied and effervescent. And alcohol. Not remembering from having this a ways back if it was this strong (even at 18%, this was strong, so perhaps the bottle aged at the store a bit). This was to be shared at the Spit Cup finals in Grahamís honor but didnít get there.

12oz bottle (2012) picked up at Supermarket liquors
Pours clear dark amber with a small beige head and some lacing. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar and chocolate. Flavors of toasted malts, caramel, sugar, dark fruit, leather and some hot alcohols
Very nice and smooth

Batch 9, 649 cases; 16.83% ABV; Aug, 2011 Pours a nice chocolate cherry hued brown with a finger of light latte foam. This falls to a solid sheet of the same. Smells of alcohol, wood, raisin, hints of toffee. Taste is sweet with a metallic flavor mixed with a hazelnut, raisin, tofee and bread pudding flavor. Does kinda remind me of the flavor of an aged (5+ years) Chimay Grand Reserve, but on íroids with the burn of alcohol coming through on the finish. There is a nice moderate body and low, smooth carb. Semi dry finish. Iíve often wondered what aging would do to the demon series, maybe I will give it a go with the latest release. Serving type: bottle 01-15-2012

BOSSbrewer (1420) - Arkansas, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Pours a clear amber with some thin head. Lots of alcohol on the nose. Some malt and dark fruits also. But mainly alcohol. Some chocolate and sweet many with some figs for flavor. But still there is a lot is alcohol. This was the 2013 18% version. Split a bottle with mike and jake and still not a pleasant drink. Somewhat gimmicky just to jet a high alcohol beer.
