Commercial Description:
The Beast is a seducer - accomodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. Beyond this, it's futile to attempt to describe Him. He will unveil Himself differently to each of His followers. The mark is in His constitution. Brewed with two-row malted barley, honey malt, and imported Belgian specialty grains (aromatic, pale wheat, roasted wheat, and Special B), hops (Magnum, Galena, Saaz, Hallertau, Tettnang, and Hersbrucker), brewing sugars (raisins, dates, blackstrap molasses, alfalfa honey, turbinado, and dark Belgian candy sugar), water, Belgian yeast and another hellion of a yeast strain.OG: 1.138

Poured from a 06 bottle. Poured a deep garnett color with a fluffy off-white head. Strong nose of sugars and alcohol. Taste was equally as strong, with sweet candy flavors dominating with underlying fruit and oak notes. Alcohol was definitely present, and it would probably would be even more enjoyable if it was given time to age. Complex brew that probably isn’t everyones cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.

2006: A massive beer that would compare favorably with some of the better aged sherries from Spain or Portugal. It is bold, imaginative and definately a sipper, 12oz is too much for a single person, and this beast should be shared with company so that it can sink it’s teeth into more people. almost Jamaican rum like - rich, colorful, flavorful, bold and assertive, incredible mouthfeel... a good substitute for a rum cocktail.

2008 bottle, batch 6. Pours deep amber brown, with a thin off-white head, little if any lacing. Strong odor of dates, raisins, alcohol, earth, and leather. Thick body, a little sticky. Intensely sweet carmel and alcohol flavor, almost a bourbon flavor, spicy, and fruity. Amazingly flavorful and potent.

bottle from lonestar beverages in carrollton, tx. poured a clear dark amber with ruby highlights and a bubbly beige head that lasted very good. i made the mistake of sampling this one right under the fan. the nose hit me with some strong caramel and some hints of fruitiness. i thought the alcohol blended in nicely. almost seemed to have a whiskey aftertaste. the mouthfeel was thick and rich. when swirled it hung on to the side of the glass very well. Excellent Beer!

Very different beer, but seems to be a bit one dimensional. Very high gravity and thick mouthfeel, but no other flavors to accent how big it is. It is not bad, but doesn’t leave you wanting to rave about it or want more.

Pours murky reddish brown with no head. Aroma is riddled with dark fruit, caramel, and molasses. Flavor is intensely sweet. Honey is prevalent, caramel, molasses, and tons of brown sugar. Borderline cloying. Palate is like syrup. aggressive, and almost lacerative,
