3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brown coloured and hazy. Has a light brown head, medium duration. Malty aroma, light soy-sayce. Eminent flavor, roasted, lots of dark notes, mixed with nice hoppyness. Warming alcohol. Flat carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
22oz bottle from Brewforia Meridian. Poured a pitch black, with light brownish head. I was pretty disappointed in this bottle. Flavor was one dimensional with nothing to note on the finish. I don’t see how cellaring would make this Imperial Stout any better. There are too many other great stouts on the market for me to drink this guy again.

Flaska från 2009. Blåbär och hallon i doft. Nästan lite syltig, vilket var lite otippat. Passar fint ihop med en fantastiskt god kladdkaka som Hanna bakat. Kroppen känns initialt ganska krämig men försvinner ändå ganska snabbt. Lite speciell.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
1/5/2012. 2010 batch from bottle. Aromas of dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, spices. Smooth and bitter from the hops. Very nice balance and complexity.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This stuff is absolutely godly... pours a rich, dark brown/black, with light brownish head. The aroma is rich, as is the taste—chocolatey, spicy with sparkling carbonation. A beer for special occasions.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a medium thick black with large mocha head that lasts and some splashy lace. Smell is caramel, chocolate, bit of alcohol, maltiness sweetness and catch some hints of dark ripe fruits. Taste is creamy caramel, cocoa, light sweet chocolate, booze is fairly well hidden with just some hints towards the end, splashes of dark fruits. This is right in my wheel house for impy stout. The only negative to say is that this shelf turd is almost a year old (just purchased today) and there is in fact just a minor hint in the finish of brown paper bag. So maybe this is best had fresher or under the proper circumstances. Would have been a 4 otherwise.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nov. 2012 batch. 22oz bomber. Pours a viscous black with a tan head. Aromas of roast, some coffee. Strong alcohol presence in the nose. Taste is bitter due to the roast, almost burnt toast tasting. No tar, no ash, no cigarette butts. It loses points for that. Plenty of burnt malt, not smokey but burnt. Hot alcohol. Really not that good. Pass.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2012. closer to dark brown than black, tan head with long retention and good lacing. roast, molasses, chocolate, toffee, soy sauce, dates, slight booze. very sweet, medium-light bitter. full body, creamy feel, slight warmth. very smooth. unsure if the age has done much to it either positive or negative.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Brown-black, ruby edges with an oily beige head. Milder than I remembered, but still pretty hot. Chocolate tones, but even more caramel, massive warm malt tones. Like the ultimate Imperial Baltic Porter. A little too big for it’s own good. Unique.
