Behold the stunning crimson hues through the inky blackness. Inhale the noble Hallertau hops, spicy and floral. Savor the flavors redolent of English toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise. We highly recommend cellaring additional bottles, as the Czar will continue to mature and become denser and more complex with age.

A commanding stout. Smells great, pours a deep velvet black, and gives a great scent. Heavy ABV and leaves a lasting impression. Great with steak or just about any red meat.

Pours very dark brown with small tan head that quickly disappears. Aroma of chocolate, oak, and brown sugar. Taste of chocolate followed by spices. Not much going on on the finish though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle Batch 12 Oct 2013. Small tan head on dark brown with a Burgundy glowing body. Elderflower aroma lingers and flavors of chocolate, brown sugar and a light and sweet coffee. Alcohol finish but it is very slight.

This very delicious, drinkable brew was full of pleasant surprises. The pour was smooth with an ever so slight carbonation and a perfect creamy sliver of a head that remained throughout from start to finish. The flavor was consistent from top to bottom featuring all of the best of what Iíve come to expect from an Imperial Stout. The initial alcohol taste quickly fades to the background as the hints of chocolates and coffees suddenly surface on the tongue.

Bottled 2009, by my estimation, just under 2 years old. A: Pours a dark brown ale with under a single finger of toasted coconut foam which falls rather quickly to a sheet of the same. Spotty lacing at best. S: Molasses, dark malts, leather and cocoa. Dig it. T: Anise, molasses and mocha malts. Plenty of sweet toffee malty goodness. This beer enjoyed its time in the glass. M: Heavy body with light carb, this beer comes together well. Leaves a nice thick coat on the palate. O: This is a solid beer. Although I canít speak for the beer fresh, I can say this stuff is nice with a couple annuals under it. Serving type: bottle 09-18-2011

This Imperial Stout follows the tradition of the Czars. Smooth taste, with barley essence and roasted malts. I had tasted better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber, batch no. 11 Nov. 2012. Rich chocolate and toffee malt aroma with a hint of roastiness. Pours inky black with a decent light brown head and excellent lacing. Big chocolate and toffee malt flavors to start. Finishes very smooth with the roasted malt coming through. Chocolate comes back at the end to linger on the palate as well. Excellent imperial stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber to snifter, thick black with thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of malt and chocolate. Soft carbonation and slightly bitter finish, decent imperial stout

Dark pour. Small tan head. Little lacing. Slight malt aroma. Not much else. Taste is malty with a sour twang in the back. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
