COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Behold the stunning crimson hues through the inky blackness. Inhale the noble Hallertau hops, spicy and floral. Savor the flavors redolent of English toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise. We highly recommend cellaring additional bottles, as the Czar will continue to mature and become denser and more complex with age.

Black or very dark brown with brown head poured from a tap. Full bodied tastes of toffee and mocha. Legit

On tap, poured a black hue w/ minimal head. Light to moderate boozy and roasty aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ moderate bitter finish. Tastes are fresh malt, roasted malts, and bourbon. Full bodied, light syrupy mouthfeel, light carbonation, and slight warmth in the finish. Well balanced imperial, very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap takeover at the Attic. Dark brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, booze. Taste is toffee, chocolate and some booze notes. Pretty damn good.

Pours a dark black with thin tan head. A faint aroma of chocolate and oak. Taste is strong and rich with malt, chocolate, coffee, and hard alcohol. Finishes with a taste of rum but not overpowering.

Chocolate, molasses, and coffee upfront. This is what a stout should be. There is a very pleasant sweetness to this. Soft on the palate. Love this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber gifted to me from JohnGonk for Christmas. Pours black with an inch of creamy mocha head. Aroma of burnt toast, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and burnt sugar. Taste of dark chocolate, burnt sugar, caramel malt, dark fruit, and char.

A commanding stout. Smells great, pours a deep velvet black, and gives a great scent. Heavy ABV and leaves a lasting impression. Great with steak or just about any red meat.

Pours very dark brown with small tan head that quickly disappears. Aroma of chocolate, oak, and brown sugar. Taste of chocolate followed by spices. Not much going on on the finish though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle Batch 12 Oct 2013. Small tan head on dark brown with a Burgundy glowing body. Elderflower aroma lingers and flavors of chocolate, brown sugar and a light and sweet coffee. Alcohol finish but it is very slight.

This very delicious, drinkable brew was full of pleasant surprises. The pour was smooth with an ever so slight carbonation and a perfect creamy sliver of a head that remained throughout from start to finish. The flavor was consistent from top to bottom featuring all of the best of what I’ve come to expect from an Imperial Stout. The initial alcohol taste quickly fades to the background as the hints of chocolates and coffees suddenly surface on the tongue.
