The Kaiser once said, "Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world." If the Kaiser and his significant other had tipped this bottle, we'd all be "sprechenden Deutsch!" We took all that is good in a traditional Oktoberfest - gorgeous, deep copper sheen, massive malty backbone and spicy, floral, pungent noble hops - then intensified each into this, an Imperial Oktoberfest.

Pours Amber with an eggshell colored head. A malty, spicey aroma. Very sweet, caramelly, spicey flavor with banana bread, butterscotch and honey. At first, it borders on cloying, but as you drink the sweetness becomes almost unbearable. Surprisingly, there is little alcohol present in the taste, but you can feel its there. Mouthfeel is full. At best, an interesting take on an Oktoberfest.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a very nice looking amber orange with off-white head. Nice aroma of malt, spice, and alcohol. Flavor of caramel, spice, and alcohol. Full Body, heavy mouthfeel, med-high carb. Overall, this was an ok beer, Just doesn’t hit me as an Octoberfest that I enjoy, but it was tasty.

bottle from lonestar beverage in carrollton tx. poured a clear amber with orange hues and a thin off whit head. aroma had some malt, strong spice and alcohol notes. flavor was much the same as the nose with the addition of some earthiness. not a big fan of this oktoberfest.

660ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) 2006 bottle, shared by JK54B - thanks!
Slightly hazy orange, tiny tight head. Sweet malty aroma, a bit bready or cakey. A bit of alcohol, and some big estery peaks. Soft palate, pleasant carbonation. Slightly gluey taste, but pretty well balanced between the malty body and the pleasant hoppiness. Those hops hang around in the finish, and taste pretty raw then.
