The Kaiser once said, "Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world." If the Kaiser and his significant other had tipped this bottle, we'd all be "sprechenden Deutsch!" We took all that is good in a traditional Oktoberfest - gorgeous, deep copper sheen, massive malty backbone and spicy, floral, pungent noble hops - then intensified each into this, an Imperial Oktoberfest.

Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of roasted , caramel, cereal and chocolate milk, moderate hop note of perfume, yeast of dough, and toffee, alcohol and honey in the background. Head is small, creamy/bubbly and white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy copper. Flavor is moderately sweet and lightly acidic to start, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, creamy with a lively carbonation. It finishes dry, astringent and alcoholic. A nice Octoberfest with bold aromas.

Pours a clear pumpkin orange with a thick creamy head. Smells very sweet, almost pumpkinesque, malty and bready. Taste as it smells, strong and sweet, almost syrupy. Not your traditional thin oktoberfest. Full in the mouth. Drinkable but you sip this guy, very tasty and makes you love the fall.

Bright and clear with a golden amber color and a generous head. Yeasty, hoppy, and spicy in the aroma. Hoppy spiced taste balances out the typical maltiness of the style.

From a 750ml 2005 bottle, pours a deep, dark amber with no head. Big malty aroma. Medium body, big malty sweet flavor, slight raisin character, slight biscuit character. Not your traditional Oktoberfest. Nice.

Pretty good for an Oktoberfest. Orange body with a thin white head, no lacing or retention. A nice sweet aroma with a mix of bread, fruit, & candy. i also noticed a strange unidentified aroma, it was not offensive just different. Flavor was a mix of sweet caramel malts and a nice pundgent spice note. A very rich beer.

Very complex aroma.. Malty, sweet like fruit and candy and the same time, spicy, and somo other odd aromas that I can’t quite identify. Flavor... Damn this is GOOD... Malty, yeasty and surprisingly hoppy. And you don’t even notice the 9.3%. What a treat!

Very different. Pours a golden deep orange color with a nice bubbly tope head .Smells of sweet caramel and nuts. Tastes like honey and malt and wheat. Great beer and a very interesting take on a good style. Cheers Avery!

22oz bottle 2007. Very sweet malt aroma. Candied oranges, caramel with a wisp of grassy hops and a good dose of alcohol. Pours rich, oily copper with a creamy white head. Sweet toffee and caramel dominate the flavor. Some candied fruits with minimal hop presence as well. A strong alcohol presence. Syrupy on the tongue. Finishes with a blast of alcohol hotness.
