Aug 1, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber in color with a thick purely white head. The head lasts for awhile and leaves strong lacing all around the glass. Great looking IPA. Aroma is strong, with lots of citrus and resin hops and also alcohol. Flavor is sweet and malty, giving way to a strong bitter hop finish. Alcohol is strongly present throughout. More "big" than balanced.

Jul 27, 2008 Updated: Feb 26, 2009One hell of a kick. Excellent brew. Thanks to Honkeybra for the recommendation. Afterthought: I’m glad I rated this after the first few sips, since I don’t remember finishing it.
Rerate: Crushed with Jakebra. Got this about as fresh as it comes. Sticky, amber pour with huge head. Spicy, piney, bitter, awesome hop nose. Flavor is very sweet with a huge hop backbone, and the sweetness fades as it warms.

Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Reddish-gold with an off-white head. Awesome fruity-punchy nose from hops. Mildy sweet, malty and fruity flavor draped around a moderately bitter center, with a full and somewhat cottony mouthfeel. Sticky bitterness in the aftertaste. Tasty and fun beer to drink.

Jul 26, 2008 Pours a nice copper colour with a tight off white head.
Nice mouthwatering grapefruit and floral hop. Biscuity caramel malt undertones.
Flavour is grapefruit and tangy citrus hop transitioning into an oddly sour-ish malt and more caramel sweetness then citrus floral hop finish.
A very unique malt profile to this IIPA.

Jul 22, 2008 Updated: Jul 28, 2008Bomber bought at Sams in Chicago. Pours a cloudy copper color with a thick off-white head. The aroma is full of hops; citrus mostly, and some metallic notes. The taste was so smooth and very tasty; a ton of citrus, grapefruit, a balance of caramel malt and sweet candied oranges. Just a damn good beer. Dangerous, a bomber can vanish very quickly.

Jul 20, 2008 pours a clear amber with a medium size foamy head, very good lacing.
smell is grapefruit, caramel, spice, roasted malt, hint of orange.
taste is creamy, light grapefruit, some sweet caramel, touch of orange, malt in the back, touch of pine, lightly bitter in the end.
overall there is no alcohol taste and that is pretty impressive for a 10.21% ABV.

Jul 19, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of flowers, honey, citrus fruit, and caramel. Deep red amber brown hue with an average sized frothy head that mostly diminished and left great lace. Flavor is caramel and flowers with honey and bitters. Palate is full bodied and soft. Just a fantastic brew. Solid from aroma to flavor to palate. Just lovely.
