Blondest double IPA I have seen. Nice malt characte with great hop bite. phiconners (122), Massachusetts, USA May 10, 2008 Pours thick copper with a white head. Strong floral aroma. Very nice flavor, alcohol comes through a bit. ChrisJ (100), Warrenton, Virginia, USA May 10, 2008 Bottle (22 oz.) @ home. Pours in a clear copper with a large off white head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy. Citrusy (grapefruit) and piney hops. The flavor is big bold hops with some sweet malts. Big bitter hop finish. Bold IPA with some balance. Up there with the finest DIPA’s out there. Very Nice. Rciesla (3515), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA May 9, 2008 Bottle. This huge malty ipa blew away my palate. An over done malted hopped up monster. haha double ipa night killed me. btree (14), New York, New York, USA May 8, 2008 First beer at cb six: a mistake. served in a tulip glass. Hazy orange color, very summery coloring. immediate hops aroma, strong and powerful as a maharaja should be. I would go so far as to say forceful hops aroma. This beer is a palate buster extrordanaire! Crisp and smooth with a flavor of orange and grapefruit rind. THe high alcohol lends it a sweetness in the follow-up, but the aftertaste is all bitter hops. A stand-up beer for extreme drinkers. I’ll take another please RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA May 8, 2008 Pours a slightly cloudy orange-amber with a thick white head. Huge hoppy aroma and taste: rich combination of floral and citrus hops over semi-sweet malt. Absolute hop overload but in a good way. Grapefruity, piney, earthy ... every hop descriptor one can imagine applies. Very tasty. An excellent imperial IPA. topherh (892), Kearney, Missouri, USA May 6, 2008 Pours a nice orange with a two finger off white head. Aroma is citrusy hops. Flavor is bitter, hoppy, grapefruit, some malt balance. A hopheads dream. Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA May 6, 2008 Updated: Mar 9, 2009have to say I was very impressed with this one. 50/50 mix of floralness and citrussynesswith minimal pineyness. Excellent all around, from start to finish. Very bitter, mildly brutal, extremely hoppy. Very smooth and well balanced, just an easy drinking beer. I loved it.
